You might not think about hitting the casino for a tasty bite to eat but Genting Casino, in the heart of Chinatown, combines a night of gambling fun with a menu of authentic Chinese cuisine.
The casino's restaurant is situated just at the side of the gaming area past the bar and offers a substantial choice including three courses for just £9.99 per person (available Thursday-Saturday from 6pm-1am).
From Sunday to Wednesday (7pm-2am) you can choose from the impressive 97 dish menu with plates costing from £5.50 to £12. Hot Pot dishes (my favourite) are available along with seafood, duck & chicken dishes, soups, noodle & rice dishes and a choice of 24 'special' dishes meaning there is plenty of choice that is all prepared fresh.
Once we had enjoyed our meal we popped to the gaming tables. Hardly high-rollers (although if you are they are happy to take your money) we had a flutter and quickly lost our cash on the roulette table.
Big jackpots and 'Lucky' slot machines promise big payouts for fortune-blessed winners - we apparently were not blessed on that particular night. If you are new to the tables or games don't be shy just ask the croupier what to do - they'll point you in the right direction and appear happy to help out - and again help you spend your hard earned cash.
If the tables aren't for you then live electronic roulette terminals at 10p minimum and with two systems to choose from, all linked to the 'live' tables, is a great introduction to the popular game and probably mean you won't get too carried away. read more
