D is the best counselor for me and her care is genuine. The staff is the most wonderful, kindest group of awesome woman that I've ever met. I really love them all. The space is clean although the furnishings are a bit drab and old and even though the scales work, they seem to be falling apart. The one big downside for me is there is NO PRODUCT, rather a minimal smattering. I rely on supplementing my diet with some Medi products and I can't get them in Plainville which is a shame. I work around it though, the Wellesley office has their shelves stock full. Plus mail order, but that takes time. Who likes to wait these days.

It is an extremely restrictive keto diet that is not sustainable. If you have any sort of disordered eating history, I do not recommend. They offer some medications and supplements (all of which are their brand). The only appetite suppressant they offer is phentermine, which is a stimulant that can cause heart palpitations, increased anxiety and psychosis, not to mention is also has abuse potential as it is chemically similar to amphetamines. Overall, it felt like a marketing ploy to buy all of their products to ensure your success. If you are considering making an appointment, I encourage you to approach it with a skeptic view and consult all your doctors before starting any medications or supplements they recommend. If you are struggling with weight management, I suggest looking into seeing a doctor that specializes in it, such as a bariatric physician or endocrinologist. When seeing a healthcare provider, they should not be encouraging you to buy their specific products. I personally find it unethical to be advising patients on their health and then also be profiting off the treatments you recommend. I know its legal and is done with many other medications and parts of healthcare, but how it is done here is blatant and excessive.

I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep.
