I don't know who Mike S. is talking about because my experience over 2 projects with Fermin Perez…read moreis the opposite. Think he is talking about another Perez.or maybe he is a competitor. This Perez's first name is Fermin. The first project was painting my house and rebuilding a huge rotten deck. You should have seen the meticulousness he works on anything. For example, he used Timbertech for the flooring and pressure treated wood for support, That was 4 years ago and still looks brand new. He returned in 2026 for a medium project painting my 50 yr old house and replacing the front door threhold and refinishing both the threshold and door just like he was a furniture refinisher and now looks new!! He is always very respectful, nice, as his son who is very nice and they both work hard. He is not cheap and neither is his work and when you see the little details you appreciate a master craftman. That's why Mike S. is on the wrong page! I see all the time people who write "I want someone who is cheap and does good work." Folks, those two don't go together! But if you want a job done right the first time and you don't have to hire another crew who you don't know to fix the work of the first crew who messed up. (i've heard that story hundreds of time!! I got his name from Home Depot recommended contractor list. When Fermin does a job I can sit back and watch tv cause I know the job is going to be right.

We needed a bathroom upgraded in an 80 plus year old home that did not work. The tub was cracked…read morethe plumbing was shot. I asked Chateau Sept Renovations to come out and provide a quote and to explain if the bathroom had any potential. Jose came out like the next day (IMPRESSIVE)! He explained what needed to be done, how long the job should take (unless they ran into issues with the home being this old) and all we needed to do is pick a day when they could get started. Since I did not have a clue as to what I was doing, I gave Chateau Sept Renovations, full control over renovating the bathroom. What I mean by that is they picked the tile and the flooring; we picked the paint. Even with authorizing them to create at will, Jose still sent several pictures of flooring and tile to ensure we were included in the process and to make us feel like we were truly getting what we wanted. When the project started, Jose and Matt came out to get everything in order. Products, materials and supplies started arriving at my home, so Jose and Matt created a staging area in the front of the house (my living room) ONLY because the day the project started a storm popped up and I mean it was storming. Although the interior of my home was used as a storage area, they covered the floor and everything around the supplies to ensure my carpet and furniture was protected. As the project progressed, Matt treated my home as if it were his own. When he didn't like how something turned out, he wouldn't leave until it was done the way he thought it should look based on what we requested. I mean the attention to detail surpassed my expectation. An example of that would be when the paint dried, he did not like how the dry wall appeared so the section he had a problem with, he sanded and painted again. I thought the room looked wonderful, but it was not where he wanted it to be. When a contractor takes that kind of pride in his work, then I will always use them in the future. My house is over 80 years old so they took their time to understand the potential problems with upgrading a house that old. Matt and Jose were transparent when they advised the potential problems when renovating older homes. They were correct, we ran into an issue with the plumbing and like professionals, they advised us of the issues, developed a plan and executed without even delaying the completion. It was certainly one of the best experiences I've had regarding contract work in a very long time. I will certainly use them for all my contracting needs.

Jose was a joy to work with, even when we threw some ridiculous requests his way. He never said "I can't do that." Instead he would say "Sure thing. They named themselves as the contractor on our permit without us contracting with them. After reaching out to the county for a copy of the application, I discovered that details were added to our form after my signature, without any notification to me. Not only was I surprised to see Northside Remodeling and Willie Middleton's name on the permit & application, I was extremely surprised to find my signature on a document I didn't fill out. This unexpected change left me feeling very uneasy, questioning the level of honesty with this business. The basement project itself was rife with issues - rough-in plumbing done incorrectly, window egress not installed to code, framing not complete or installed correctly. In Georgia, the licensed contractor on the permit is accountable and responsible for the work to be done to code. We have since had to hire a new contractor and pay additional money to fix these errors. It wasn't the smooth experience I hoped for, and I personally would want to find a company that emphasizes clear and upfront communication.

Where do I start! I reached out to Ramos Concrete Construction seeking an expert opinion regarding…read moreconcrete work performed by the builder of our home. The slab was not level and had low spots in which water was pooling. In addition, the slab was extremely discolored. The builder refused to re-pour the slab and we would not move forward with the purchase without knowing if their solution was viable. The builder wanted to skim coat the slab and stain it to give a uniform color. Mike came out and met with the builder and asked lots of questions about the cement mix, grading, trowel work, and if the cement was "hot" when poured. He noted all the defects in the slab and the reasons why. Mike gave me a quote for replacement. It was approximately $3200 dollars. My husband and I went to the builder and asked for a seller concession so we could let Ramos Concrete do our work. We did not want the builder to repair and thought it in our best interest to have a permanent fix vs lipstick on a pig. This was a new build and we were planning to add a patio cover. To my surprise, the builder reached out the next day and offered to replace vs repair. This would not have happened without Mike's expertise. I felt 100% confident that he knew concrete and was able to pinpoint exactly why the slab looked so awful! My husband and I had already agreed to give the work to them vs having the builder do anything. In the event we still end up with a poor slab we know who to call. I really wanted to give Mike something for the time he took to go out and write up his opinion and estimate. You don't find this kind of service today, it's non-existent! I can't speak highly enough of Mike and the service I received. He definitely went above and beyond! It is because of him, and only him that the builder stopped fighting with us and agreed to replace the concrete. I absolutely owe my thanks (and new slab) to him!!!

innovative Woodworks did a fantastic job building our sunroom and deck…read more Dominic, Steven and Ray started work in the middle on an August heatwave and they had it 75% done in just 3 weeks. That crew worked extremely hard in record heat from 9 to 6 every day. They worked fast - not sloppy fast, but efficient fast; like they have done this a thousand times before. And they left the job site clean and orderly every day. Our agreement was that IW would build the structure and I would procure the door and windows, which they would install. We had to wait a few weeks for the windows, but IW came back and finished the job as soon as the windows were available. We got quotes from several builders, and IW's price was in the middle, but they gave me the most confidence that they could actually do the job. And I liked that they did not ask for any money upfront, but rather pay 25% at 4 agreed-upon stages of progress. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and provided IW with some sketches and approximate dimensions, and they did the rest. When there were design choices to be made, they laid out the options and let us decide. They did NOT nickel and dime us with lots of billable change orders. Our project was slow to get started due to a snafu getting the building permit (which IW handled completely ) but once they got started, they made amazingly fast progress. I heartily recommend Innovative Woodworks - these guys are pros!
