About eight months ago I found myself in the deepest darkest depression that I have ever known. I have suffered from depression for most of my life, but this is the first time I have ever had thoughts of suicide. Dr. Rodriguez saw me twice a week for six weeks and customize a program for me which worked miracles. The program at "the center", deals with many conditions from addiction to eating disorders. My specific issue is anxiety and depression. I won't going to details about my treatment but all I can say is that I really felt that I was being listened to and treated as an individual. During my time in the partial hospitalization phase of my program, the staff took care of making sure I had access traditional treatments such as therapy (Group), and even things like aerial yoga. I am a healthcare professional and I have worked in the field of mental health. This is the only place that I have ever seen where the patient is treated like an individual, and not a cookie-cutter approach. To sum it up, the staff was courteous and caring, the facility was clean and adequate, lunch was provided as well as snacks. My primary therapist is wonderful, her name is Abby. I have met the other therapist and they are, I'm sure just as great. I am doing so much better now, I am back to work and having a much easier time interacting in social situations.if you are looking for a place that will help you in your dark time I would highly recommend the Delray Center for healing.

I call the front desk where I'm greeted with a monotone voice that proceeds to tell me the cancellation fee is DOUBLE what my appointment fee usually is. You would think if you wanted continued business you would treat your patients a bit better and with more grace. I understand a cancellation fee but DOUBLE? Yall are absolutely insane and a money grab. So I hope this hundred some dollars is worth the loss of the thousands I would have spent there.

I have been coming here now for seven months and I feel like I need to tell everyone my experience. Laura who answered the phone was BEYOND helpful and such a delight! I was moving from another state and needed to establish a new doctor and I was able to get in around my time not the doctors time. (I love the flexibility they offer ) Laura called me to confirm my appt the day before and asked me if I had any questions and even asked about my move! ( No one ever stops to ask how people are these days!) When I arrived I was there 15 mins early and I was the only patient in the waiting area. ( I read reviews they over book there are over 8-10 people waiting which is a LIE!!!!) I was greeted by the Dr and we went over all my medically and past doctor visit. For privacy reasons I will not list why I was there but when I left I felt very comfortable with the staff and the Dr. I am going on my 8 month and I enjoy coming here. My experience at this facility was extremely disappointing, and I believe potential clients deserve…read moreto know what I experienced before trusting this facility with their care. My biggest concern was the complete lack of professionalism surrounding client privacy. Staff were openly discussing private and personal information about clients with other clients. Confidentiality should be one of the most basic expectations in a treatment environment. When staff are sharing information that should remain private, it creates an environment where clients cannot feel safe or trust the people responsible for their care. There were a few facilitators who genuinely did their jobs and treated clients with respect, and I want to acknowledge those individuals. However, unfortunately, that was not the experience across the facility. Many of the technicians appeared to spend the majority of their shifts on their phones at times it felt like they were on them 90% of the time. Clients should not have to compete with someone's phone for their attention, especially in a facility where staff are responsible for people's safety and well-being. I also witnessed what appeared to be blatant unequal treatment between male and female clients. Rules and expectations did not always seem to be applied equally, creating an environment that felt discriminatory and unfair. If a facility has rules, those rules should apply consistently to everyone--not change depending on someone's gender. The most unacceptable part of my experience was being left stranded at a hospital for approximately 4 hours. I was left waiting without my phone (I'm on phase 3) or transportation I should have been able to expect from the facility. That experience made me feel abandoned and showed a serious lack of communication, responsibility, and concern for the client's well-being. This facility needs to take a serious look at its staff, its accountability, and the way clients are treated. Privacy should not be treated casually. Staff should be engaged instead of sitting on their phones. Men and women should be treated equally. And clients should never be left stranded without proper support. There are good people working there, but having a few dedicated employees does not excuse serious problems with professionalism, confidentiality, accountability, and client care. Clients place an enormous amount of trust in facilities like this. That trust needs to be earned and based on my experience, there is significant room for improvement.

However, once I found the entrance and stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised.. I've visited for a breath work/sound healing class. The facilitators were very talented and professional. They guided the class through different breathing techniques which brought us into a meditative state. This was accompanied by sound healers, who not only did a sound bath for the whole group, but also went around throughout the session, giving each person in their own sound immersion. All of the tools were provided, and helped sink deeper into the immersion. The room was set up, similar to a yoga room with how you would have the math laid out however, instead of yoga mas there were these comfortable, thick, personal mattresses, a blanket folded into a pillow, a leg bolster as well as an eye mask. The ambience of the room evoke the sense of calm and set the tone for the session and was mindfully dimly lit, relaxing, and had beautiful ornamental flowers hanging from the ceiling and in the room. The facilitator's voice was gentle and helped me melt into meditation like butter. You could tell they are both very skilled and gifted. I left the session feeling as if I've been on a holiday, but even more relaxed than I regularly return from any holidays . I look forward to returning again .

This lead to many problems in my life, many broken relationships, and much mental stress, not to mention the high blood pressure damaging my heart... I looked for help and was lucky to land on this counseling centre for growth and recovery. My counselor lead me through the process, helped me open up to him, and I did not even realize how far back this anxiety went until I spoke up... My childhood hadn't been so rough but only a single incident left a scar so deep that it took me 20 odd years to fill it back up, and that too with the help of this counseling centre so I am so much grateful. Thank yo soo much guys for helping me get a hold of my life, and live confidently and without the constant feeling of dread.
