SO, gyms. I have such a confused relationship with the concept of gyms. On the one hand, sure, great, a place to go and work out and get fit and hone your sixpack.
On the other hand, a place to go and perform boring, repetitive movements with heavy things? A place to run on the spot, indoors?
I just can't decide if I love them or hate them. But anyway, aside from the semantics of the gym concept, Genesis is good, as gyms go.
It has a HEAP of cardio machines, a massive weight room, multiple rooms for gym classes and, my fave, a lady's only room upstairs.
Like all gyms, the staff here will try to coerce you into signing a 12 month contract, but my advice is stick to your guns and bargain the bejesus out of them until they agree to waive your joining fee and give you flexible, no long-term contract membership. (Yeh, I'm a gym whore).
The personal trainers here are good and in terms of its location, its super central and the best gym you will find in the area. read more
