If you arrive earlier than check-in time, (or leave later than check-out) they will hold your luggage for no additional charge. The hotel decor is a bit dated but I guess this adds to the appeal. My room was spacious and comfortable and it had all the standard features including a hair dryer, tea kettle, and a fan, which will come in handy in the warmer months. I am not a fan of the double faucets in Europe as it is difficult to wash your face when you have hot and cold separate. There was an issue with the light switches and bedside lamp that the hotel was quick to come and fix, but it would have been nice to have a note by the switches that showed which switch was for which light. Very confusing turning them on and off trying to figure them out. One of the absolute best things about my stay was the shower pressure. OMG - absolutely the best shower I think I've ever had. The products in the bathroom are very good quality as well and smell amazing. There are no washcloths, but I came prepared with my own. The hotel has live music in the lounge every night and the "Celtic Nights" dance shows. I didn't see the show but I did enjoy the live music while having dinner and/or drinks a couple of nights. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Dublin.

Our room's window was facing the street so you could hear everything that was happening outside. So if you're a light sleeper, I'd probably ask for a room farther away. It was pretty loud during Friday they Sunday nights but less loud during the weekdays. No A/C but they do supply a fan. No business area (no access to computers). Windows can be opened but there's no screen so bugs can come through. The location is good to restaurants, bars and shopping area. Near buses.

Facilities were simple but great quality. Our ensuite 6-bed mixed dorm just had 3 bunks, cabinets, and a very nice bathroom with a brand-new shower. No lockers in our room (they said they're in the process of adding them), but instead there's a storage closet at reception. Towels are 2 euro from reception. There's a community laundry room and a nice big kitchen with free breakfast every morning. Free wifi in the building and paid computers in the lobby. 24-hour reception desk with friendly and helpful staff. They'll help you with recommendations and transportation and set up an airport shuttle for you if you realize at the last minute that your Ryanair flight leaves too early for the regular airport bus :) It's a busy central area with plenty of street noise and people coming in at late hours, so if you're a light sleeper bring some headphones. Overall a fantastic place to stay in central Dublin on a budget.

You can easily take the AirCoach from the Airport (buy roundtrip in advance!) and it drops you off just a 2 minute walk away. It took me a second to find it because I kept walking past the huge sign, but once you see it, it can't be missed. It's a charming red and black building, right next to a little restaurant. Again, the location couldn't be more perfect, its within walking distance to everything you want to do, and close enough to transit options if you need to go a bit outside the main city center. Now, once you go in, they have free wifi, computers and printing capabilities onsite (for a nominal 1 to 2 euros fee), luggage storage and organized events throughout the week (the hostel pub crawl was awesome!). They even have a free courtesy Skype phone! How cool is that? They offer an enormous kitchen where you can cook to your heart's desire if you'd like, fridge space to store your groceries and a small lounge/dining area. Washer & dryer onsite. But, all this wouldn't be the same if it wasn't thanks to the wonderful, friendly staff there. I stayed there for 2 nights, was assisted by 3 different staff members, and they were all beyond helpful and so pleasant (even when I asked them a million questions everyday!). I'd certainly stay here again if I happen to be in the Dublin area, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great hostel. Thanks guys (and thank you hostelworld.com!)! The four of us (grandparents with two 9 your old grandchildren) stayed one night in the family room (two twins and a queen) and later two nights in two rooms (a double and a better double, both with queen sized beds). The smaller room was small, but room enough to sit in a sofa chair and at a desk with chair. The larger room was even nicer. The front desk was welcoming and amiable. The breakfast was very well done, with a cooked breakfast option (including a well done 'full Irish breakfast') and one had the option of continental breakfast in a small buffet. We did all of the above. Next we visit Dublin, we will make it a point to star at Wynn's.

They were kind enough to upgrade us so that we could have access to the executive lounge, which we took advantage of. We went and looked at the bar, which was inviting, and Danielle, the bartender, tried to talk us into staying for dinner, but we had plans for the pub across the street. The room was comfortable. The bed had me sleeping light and the amenities were plentiful. I will say, though, if you're a fan of hair conditioner, bring your own as we didn't get any here. Their coffee bar included some cookies as the Irish people like to have with their tea and or coffee, different flavors of coffee and multiple teas as well as sweetener if you choose. There is a hairdryer in the room as well as an ironing board and iron. You do have to have your key inserted into the elevator, as well as in the slot in the room to keep your electricity on. There was a refrigerator in the room with a couple of bottles of water, and overall we're very happy with our stay here.

The pies were large and very filling and also the salad that came with it was very fresh and tasty. A good mix of vegetables. Prices were moderate for this kind of atmosphere and beautifully prepared food. I recommend a stop here if in the neighborhood.
