It starts off with a consultation where she shows you numerous examples of her creative photos. She will then work with you as to what elements and poses you were looking to have done. She then presented her price list and package deals. Her prices are very reasonable and once you see the magic she can do with a camera, any reservations about pricing will quickly fade. On the day of the shoot her private studio was very warm and comfortable(might I also add it is a very clean and professional studio). She worked quickly and efficiently through the session and was very gentle and loving towards our baby, he never even fussed once! The sitting area where my wife and I observed everything from was very comfortable and stocked with snacks and drinks. Finally, she will schedule a day where you come back to review the pictures and make your package selections. Seeing the absolute beauty and whimsy she was able to capture was astonishing. We are both nothing short of 110 percent satisfied and will not hesitate to recommend her to everyone!

This was a very hard moment in my life last year, march 2016....and it's taking me a long time to get the nerve to write this completely without falling apart midway thru and having to continually stop, but it's been a little over a year now since my mom passed away at the age of 55 from breast cancer, and I wanted some last pics of my sweet, loving mom with her kids and family so we could remember her by. A couple of years ago, we went to a wedding where Peter was the photographer. When the newly weds…read moreshared the wedding photos with us a month or so later, we were blown away. We loved the natural style of the photography, and the dance floor pictures were INSANE. Fast forward two years later, and it was our turn to get married. We absolutely did not shop around, we knew we wanted Peter to photograph our day. Peter is awesome, simply put. He arrived on our wedding day a good hour earlier than the start of the contract, just to walk around and snap shots of the premises. He was so visibly excited about the beauty of the location, you could just tell he was really having fun and was excited to snap some good shots. We caught Peter running around snapping candid and thoughtful shots. He seriously captured everything we would have wanted him to capture, and we never gave him any direction of what we wanted photographed! Of course, the dance floor pictures were incredible. Peter has this technique that makes the dancing pictures absolutely come to life. He was also dancing with everyone and just having a really good time. The day after our wedding, so many of our guests were asking about this mysterious bearded photographer who was having a blast, haha! I can't thank Peter enough. We won a photography package from a local wedding fair which included the $1350 Poppy Package (6 hours of wedding day photography, printed proof book, 2 8x10 enlargements, 4 5x7 enlargements, 10% off any upgraded package). However, our wedding is out of state so we were trying to easy and ended up turning the full package into just an Engagement photo session. We set a date, time, and place to have the session and confirmed the night before that we were still on. The morning of, we showed up at the location about 15 minutes early for our 10:30am appointment. We waited for about 30 minutes and Danielle had still not shown up. We tried calling and texting her a number of times but failed to get ahold of her. Around 11:15 we decided to leave. As we were driving away, she TEXTED me and said her alarm didn't go off and that she would need at least 20 minutes to get to Walnut Creek. We told her to just reschedule since we were sitting in the car for an hour and our clothes had become wrinkled. She continued to apologize so we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and reschedule the session. When the day of the shoot came we met her on time as planned. We asked to please help pose us for the pictures because we had never really had a photo-shoot before and especially with engagement pictures, you want them to have a certain look and feel. I even brought along sample pictures and showed them to her before we started. About 2 weeks later, we got the final proofs back and were very disappointed to say the least. The poses were awkward, the camera angles were unflattering, the lighting/shadows were horrible, and out of the 80 pictures she took, I was happy with only 3 proofs and that is after I cropped them myself. Now remember, we won the package that included a number of proof enlargements but after 3 weeks of hearing nothing from her, I had to be the one to reach out to her. I expressed that the pictures didn't meet our expectations and asked if we could just get the few digital proofs and be done with everything. It would save all of us time, money, and effort. Instead of responding back like a concerned professional business owner, her email literally said "What sizes would you like and where should I send them?" That's it. No sorry or concern whatsoever. I understand that the package we won was a gift and we were so thankful and excited about it but after everything that has happened it shows what kind of person Danielle is and how much she values her business and clients. That being said, I would NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone, especially when capturing important moments in life like engagements, weddings, etc.

He has an eye for people and settings and the finished work really has a sense of life to it. Just go to his website and you can see he's good. My most recent photography session was extremely important to me: I needed a photo for my book jacket. My book is steampunk, so the clothing and the mood is important. Corey and I talked it over--what I needed, what kind of setting, what I would wear. We did the photos in China Alley in Hanford. The results--wow. It was hard to choose one photograph to send along to my publisher. My past sessions with Corey have also involved my young son, who is autistic. It can be hard for my little guy to focus or smile on command. Corey was very patient and gentle. He even gave my son a job to distract him for a little while, carrying some stuff around, so that my husband and I could get our pictures together.

I was lucky enough to win a photo shoot with Corey Ralston Photography in 2009. It was Fall, so it…read morewas perfect timing for a family portrait with me, my husband and my little dog. Corey was very accessible and it was easy discussing what we wanted--something festive and outdoors for our first-ever Christmas postcard. On the day of the shoot, we met Corey at a beautiful country estate location that he had told us about. We all had such a lovely afternoon with him as he helped us find fun, yet comfortable & natural poses. He even had a blanket prepared, so we could take some shots lying on the grass, while not getting dirty. Corey has a great personality, and it's very easy to open up to him and joke around allowing him to capture your real laughs and smiles--not the overly stiff or phony facial expressions that you see all too commonly at your generic big box McPhoto studio. Now, I don't think it's easy working with animals, but Corey didn't show any signs of frustration, worry or fear when working with our dog. In fact, he captured some really adorable expressions from that grumpy little guy! Now that's a miracle! When we got the photos back, we were so thrilled to see that there were so many good ones to choose from for our postcard! Ultimately, we found one photo that we loved more than the others (it was a hard decision--they were all fantastic!) and used it for our holiday post card. We got a lot of great responses from our family and friends from that post card--one relative even told us that they almost threw it away because it looked like a professional advertisement. Slick! I'm so glad I got to have a photo shoot with Corey, and I HIGHLY recommend him!
