Generations had done a super job with our daughter outdoor wedding. During that time, and because of a photo memory video I was creating, I had again used Generations to restore some yellowed photos. Brian and Gretchen shot our wedding 5 years ago, and we are still incredibly happy with the photos. Not only do they take great photos, but they listen well and got the kind of photos we wanted, not what they thought we wanted. We told them we wanted candid shots of people having a great time and that's exactly what they did. (including capturing the dog peeing on a bridesmaid during the ceremony AND my mother's classic reaction) They are also funny, non drama, and kind of disappear in the event. I've been to too many weddings where the photographers are so loud and obnoxious everyone watches them instead of the bride and groom! Highly recommend them. read more

Brian and Gretchen were fantastic! They came highly recommended from friends in the area. Getting married in a town far away from where you live can be difficult, but they were one thing I never had to worry about. They were always quick to respond to questions via email or phone and had a good variety of package options and price. On the day of the wedding they were both shooting the entire time but i hardly have any memory of them being there, they were just always there to catch the moments without being intrusive or trying to setup anything that looked posed. I had a breakdown pre ceremony due to our DJ not showing up and that was when I was supposed to be taking all of my individual shots, Gretchen not only helped me chill out, but got some great photos during and after and you can't tell I had been crying or there was anything wrong. We received our proofs quickly, got a book that we get to keep as well as a disc with all the photos on it. This is huge as most photographers expect you and your guest to purchase every photo from them and don't give you the ability to print any yourself. I think this is extremely classy, especially in today's economy! I still have to schedule a time to work with them to make my official wedding album, but I have seen several they have done and they're all beautiful. They have quickly made an excellent name for themselves in Porterville, and they deserve it, they are top notch. read more

We have gone to Generations over the years for various photo sessions including sibling photos, Easter photos and family photos. We have always been pleased with the way Generations handles customers. It is very quick and easy to set up an appointment in studio. The last time I called, I had no idea what exactly I wanted and they helped me to make the best choice for my session. If you have to drive from LA it's worth it. The owners do amazing work. I used there services for two memorial services over the past few years. They took old family photos and turned them into beautiful posters. I highly recommend them and all at a fair price. read more
