Told him I was growing my hair out, but needed to minimize as much of the "awkward stage" as possible, so I wanted an undercut -- but blended and not too short on the sides. My hair was longer at the time, and I had a superficial part in the hair past the temples; the part lined up with the middle of my right eye. He followed this part, but kept one side shorter than the other. I take blame for some of this, because I didn't specify I wanted it all the same length on top... but he never said that's what he was going to do, just starting chopping. There was really no way for me to be able to judge how short he was cutting on that side until it was done. Now that my hair is growing out, one side of the top is a good 1-1.5" shorter than the other, and I'll have to cut it all down in order to even it out. The place did have cool decor, but I couldn't get past the lack of customer service and lack of communication. Just too many other places to go in the city.

This is largely in part to the fact that he wouldn't stop talking long enough to listen to what I told him. I explained it very well from the beginning when I was looking for. A fade, #2 on the sides and back, and finger length on top. After adjusting the length 3 times I was ready to just leave in anger because it looked so bad. The left and right halves of my hair were like night and day for length (far from even) and the bangs were hardly touched. I put my fingers through my hair to show him how loppy it was, and he didn't seem bothered. He did adjust it a 4th time, to a point where I didn't love it, but didn't hate it. So I left. Won't be going back. On a positive note, the place was pretty clean and I didn't wait long.
