I guess what I'm saying is that the folks at Luce really do build a relationship with their clients, and with my stylist Erica, I always feel like we're just picking up the conversation from where we left off the last time I was in. They also have a killer referral and frequent customer program. If you refer someone to your stylist, they'll save $20 on the first cut and you'll save $20 on your next cut. And, as a regular, every 5th cut is free! There are a good range of products for sale here, but there is never pressure to purchase, which I always appreciate. My stylist, Allister, was very friendly and quickly put me at ease. I showed him some pictures of the side-pony style that I had in mind and he completely exceeded my expectations. The style that he created was far more intricate and beautiful than I ever could have ever imagined and looked great from all angles! What's even better is that it lasted all day long. It still looked perfect after hours on the dance floor that evening. I really wish that he lived in Toronto as Kingston is an awfully long way to go for a good stylist! I am not sure of the names of the other stylists who worked on the wedding party, but everyone's hair looked wonderful! Highly recommend this salon!

He was sweeping still, so I asked him if I should sit in the same chair as the last guy. He glared and said "let me finish sweeping". Jeez dude, just asking where I should sit. Told him I was growing my hair out, but needed to minimize as much of the "awkward stage" as possible, so I wanted an undercut -- but blended and not too short on the sides. My hair was longer at the time, and I had a superficial part in the hair past the temples; the part lined up with the middle of my right eye. He followed this part, but kept one side shorter than the other. I take blame for some of this, because I didn't specify I wanted it all the same length on top... but he never said that's what he was going to do, just starting chopping. There was really no way for me to be able to judge how short he was cutting on that side until it was done. Now that my hair is growing out, one side of the top is a good 1-1.5" shorter than the other, and I'll have to cut it all down in order to even it out. The place did have cool decor, but I couldn't get past the lack of customer service and lack of communication. Just too many other places to go in the city.

Cut my hair or actually really didn't at all. When washing my hair left shampoo in it and had to be told it was still in my hair once I arrived back at my seat. Lastly charged me almost $200 after all this for shoulder length hair. What a horrible experience. Will never go back horrible!
