Luckily, I got her medical records and I'm following her physician ( Sue Maynard) to Mt. Airy Family Practice. Mt. Airy Family Practice is located in beautiful West Mt. Airy. Not hard to find with its red awning stating the name. They're still using the safety precautions for covid. You have to ring the bell to enter. A staff member greets you at the door with a series of questions. Have had your covid shot? Exposed to covid? Out of the country? Waiting for covid results? That sort of questioning! And you must wear a mask! Once you get past this, you can enter. They were pretty efficient with the registration process, and taken in to be seen pretty quickly. My daughter has special needs and they were great and patient with her. Special thanks to the young lady that took her blood and gave her a flu shot. So sorry I didn't get her name. Sue Maynard (nurse practitioners) was great as well. Filled out the necessary paperwork that I need with no problem. The only issue is they never mentioned the $15 fee for the paperwork until I was about to leave. I do understand these fees, but please be upfront about them. So glad to be following this practice.

I was impressed that they do lab work right in the office and call also help with OBGYN needs as well. They also have an online portal where you can see lab results and message the provider about questions or request an upcoming appointment. I am also really impressed with the NP who helped me with a physical and vaccinations for school.

Very disappointed with the customer service at Elkins Park Family Medicine. I called to schedule an…read moreappointment and was met with significant disrespect and a lack of professionalism. I've been experiencing increased symptoms associated with diabetes (to which I have both a maternal and paternal history of this diagnosis). I called to request bloodwork to rule out the condition. I spoke with two individuals--I was told they couldn't see me for 1-2 months, because time has to be open for "sick" patients. I wouldn't be requesting the appointment if I wasn't feeling sick. The woman then went on to say that I've only been there four times since 2018 (I'm not sure how that's relevant?). The reason, of course, is due to how difficult it is to get an appointment. As a result, I've generally gone to urgent care when I have a cold, etc., as I know I'll be seen in a reasonable amount of time. My PCP is Dr. Rosen, who I've only seen once (my first visit), every other time I've been with Dr. O'Brien. Both doctors are very kind. I am a Psychologist; regardless of how good I am, clients must be met with respect by the staff that is the first point of contact. They are a representation of your practice. I will now be changing my primary care physician. Highly recommend that office staff receive professional development in effective, compassionate communication.

I'm so glad that I decided to go to Dr Rosen's office the first time that I did. She is excellent at her job and has definitely exceeded my expectations as a primary care physician. I just submitted a review for Dr. Sandler on vitals.com…read more(http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Susan_Sandler.html), but wanted to make sure the review was also on Yelp. The short version: Dr. Sandler is THE BEST! The long version: I had not had a regular doctor for several years. I came to see Dr. Sandler in 2005 due to some odd symptoms I had been experiencing for a number of months. Although it was unusual for her since she had just met me, she suggested I have an MRI based on a physical and our conversation about my symptoms. An MRI?! I thought that was ridiculous, but humored her, anyway. The following week, the MRI results came back indicating "possible multiple sclerosis". While I would prefer not to have this disease, I am eternally grateful to Dr. Sandler for using her (significant) intelligence, medical knowledge and medical intuition to arrive at that diagnosis. Many people go untreated for years without treatment since MS symptoms can resemble other health. I was a patient of Dr. Sandler's for the next 2 - 3 years until moving to LA. My wife and I have been debating whether or not to move back to PA in the future. While I prefer the weather in LA, I told her that being able to be have Dr. Sandler as a physician, again, would be a big plus if we ever moved back. Dr. Sandler is a wonderfully talented physician who is very caring about her patients. I highly recommend her as a doctor and a person and wish she were located in LA.

I have…read moreread reviews dating back to 2013 complaining about staff's negligence--it is apparent that Dr. Gardner does not care as it is 2019 and the issue has yet to be addressed/resolved. I have been a patient here since January and have been nothing but disrespected and inconvenienced. In addition to the blatant lack of professionalism in regards to the way front desk staff treats/speaks to patients, my employment/medical status is at risk due to lack of communication on staff's part--this came AFTER I followed up with the office twice (after not receiving the call backs I was promised) on two different occasions. People come here for help--not to fight and advocate in hopes of eventually receiving help (maybe). My well being has actually declined due to being a patient here, and having my hands tied as other PCPs are booked until the end of the year. PLEASE do yourself and your health a favor and choose a different PCP. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. In my field of work, I've seen parole officers provide better customer service than Gardner Medical Associates Staff. Don't expect any follow ups, phone calls, completed paperwork, or general help overall.
