General Pants is what happened when Globalized met a hipster and reproduced. Think more checkered shirts, more ksubi and less loud club music playing as you enter the doors.
They stock a lot of generic brands, such as one teaspoon, ksubi, havainas, cheap monday and more. They are decent and produce some good clothes, but nothing too amazing. However, I do love the line they have called Miss Brown. It is all altered, one-off vintage pieces, which are reasonably priced as well. I must confess to being a massive fan of their mens range. I would do a lot of things to be a guy for a week just so I could wear the clothes they have. They stock amazing singlets (I own a few), pants, jeans, shorts and shirts. Their range of men's ksubi is also amazing, unfortunately it is very pricey.
Apart from clothes they have great random things. Yes they are random things, for example, a toothbrush holder that is shaped like a tooth, skull shaped shot glasses and street art books. They are definitely great items for when you are looking for a last minute present.
The staff here are ridiculously nice. More than your usual retail workers. They will actually stand there and have a complete conversation with you, then help you put the pile of clothes you have chosen into the change rooms. I don't want to be negative about people being nice, but sometimes you are in a shit mood seeking desperate retail therapy and the last thing you want is to talk to someone, so I understand it could be slightly annoying on some occasions. read more
