I don't understand how this office gets good reviews. I am a returning patient of Dr. Markowitz and I kept thinking it would get better- the billing, the front desk communication & the overall professionalism but it never does. Last year at an appointment (for something else) I asked Dr. Markowitz about a blood vessel on my nose. She told me, 'that's easy, come back in the fall and I'll laser it' So a few weeks ago I made the appointment and I asked the front desk if I need a referral- they said no because laser is a cosmetic procedure. I then asked how much the appointment will be and they told me 350.00. When I arrived to my appointment I waited for another hour and 15 minutes to be seen (mind you I just had a baby and it's hard to get away for even a 1 hr appointment- let alone 2.5 hours) Eventually Dr. markowitz walks in and looks at my nose for 1 second and says 'I can't laser that I don't know what it is! We'll have to biopsy it.' I said 'well you told me last year to just come back in the fall to laser it.' She goes, 'how can I laser it if I don't know what it is?' (I'm thinking 'okay well why did you tell me to just come back in the fall to laser it if you didn't know what it was back then?!) I said to her, 'I can't do it today because I don't have a referral so I'll have to reschedule.' I went back to the front desk and made an appointment for 2 weeks later. The front desk helped me do that and I was free to go. Today I get a call from their front desk telling me I owe them 400.00 for a consult fee and that I should pay it at my next appointment. I asked the woman on the phone why didn't anyone charge me when I was rescheduling for the biopsy and she says, 'I don't know.' I asked, 'why didn't they tell me I would be charged 400.00 on top of the 350.00 when I first made the appointment. Rita at the front desk told me that they usually 'waive the consult fees for established patients' but then she retracted and said she didn't say that when it came up a few minutes later. Rita then said it was my fault because I didn't bring a referral- IT WAS THEIR OFFICE THAT TOLD ME NOT TO BRING ONE BECAUSE IT WAS COSMETIC Do not go here! The doctor doesn't know what she's doing and the front desk doesn't know either.

Schweiger Dermatology's repeated cancellations, disorganization, and dismissive attitude toward my time made me seriously question whether they would show the precision and care required for procedures that can permanently affect your face. I scheduled an appointment with Emilie Fowler on 2/16/2026, completed intake forms, and waited 20 minutes, only to be told by Emilie's medical assistant in the procedure room that she does not handle simple hyperpigmentation and that I would need to see another doctor. I never even saw Emilie Fowler. This could and should have been clarified when I booked the appointment, instead of after I had already rearranged my schedule and shown up. What was most troubling was Emilie Fowler's medical assistant's complete lack of concern in the procedure room. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no effort to make it right. I was casually told to reschedule three weeks later with another doctor in the same group, not to mention one whose consultation fee was nearly double. The assistant's tone was indifferent and dismissive, as though my time meant nothing. Even the basic logistics were chaotic. There was no clear entry into the building; patients were left waiting outside until staff yelled instructions from a window to use a side door. It felt unprofessional and careless from start to finish. Cosmetic and pigmentation treatments carry inherent risks such as scarring. discoloration and uneven texture. Because of the repeated cancellations, lack of clarity, and overall experience, I did not feel confident moving forward. Others may wish to consider whether this level of communication and coordination meets their expectations before scheduling.

I visited Dr Ginsberg a year ago for a small amount of botox and filler (I had previously had both in modest amounts for a natural look administered by board certified plastic surgeon). I explained my problem areas/concerns, what I had done in the past, then left it to Dr Ginsberg to make his recommendation. He suggested botox and filler under my eyes (which I had never done before) in addition to the usual locations. I trusted his advice and went ahead with it. Within a couple of days, the results were shocking. I had deep, wavy smile lines in my cheeks that were never there before and extremely alarming. Worse still, it was asymmetrical. The effect under my eyes made me look like a different person. Needless to say, I was panicking, having never asked for or experienced this before. I came back to the clinic, where Dr Ginsberg took zero responsibility for the poor results and instead explained how it was all due to MY face/muscles/tolerance etc etc. He dissolved what he could to undo the deep lines on my cheeks and under-eye filler. I left more than a little freaked out and $3k lighter for the experience. I never received any follow up or check in from Dr Ginsberg or the clinic. Zero... Until the 1 year anniversary of this experience where they called me to let me know I was probably due to come back and spend more money with them. No thanks. I get that results differ and it's not an exact science, but admit when you get it wrong. All he had to say was something along the lines of, "it clearly hasn't done what we had hoped / this isn't what it should look like / I'm sorry about the result", then show some duty of care post-visit. But, blaming me for the result, taking my money and then never following up was unprofessional and insulting.
