I walked in and went to the international travel section and saw travel books but not maps. On the off chance that they might have them, I went to the customer service desk. April quickly looked it up for me and walked me over to the other side of the same shelf, straight to the laminated map that I was looking for. Thanks, April! And thanks staff person in front who helped me out! I like everything about this Barnes & Noble, especially the people working there, but can management do something about the dingy old bathroom? It's convenient but also needs an upgrade in a major way. Anyway, I'll keep coming here in any case for the aforementioned reasons.

Their mission is to support incarcerated people nationwide by sending them books. The book shop also has notebooks, stickers, jewelries, bookmarks, and greeting cards. It was very organized and clean. Tte staff were very nice. For book lovers, you can find a great variety of genres. For example; thriller and mystery , history, Poetry, religions, Philosophy , Fiction , romance, fantasy, Sci-fi, comics, classics, social studies, Wellness, parenting, kids, business, cultural studies and more. It's a nice Bookshop to go to support a good cause.

Hardcovers are now $6 and paperbacks $4, which is more than at a general thrift store but then again this nonprofit has a good cause (sending free books to prisons) and a better selection. What used to be the $1 shelf outside the front entrance is the donation shelf where you pay what you can. Hopefully that'll actually make people more generous. Newsboy Books has what I wanted. I bought a copy of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times. It was such a great selection. While I was at it, I also got a look at their books. It's a mixture of used and new copies. The prices range and they usually aren't discounted, but still cheaper compared to those of Barnes & Noble. The employee up front was very friendly and kind. I had called her beforehand to ask if they had sold newspapers and they answered the phone in good time. She was lovely when I arrived and we had a nice small conversation at check out. I know where I'm going to get newspapers from now on, even if it's a bit of a drive from where I live.

It wasn't very crowded when I visited around 1:00pm, and the store was clean, well organized, and offered a great selection of books along with puzzles, games, and other gift items, which made browsing enjoyable. The restroom area felt very bare and minimalist, and there were no paper towels available at the time, so there wasn't a way to dry your hands. One nice touch was the Starbucks located inside the store, which looked clean and inviting, even though I didn't make a purchase. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely return.
