It has an area for smaller children, with a choo-choo train, slides, activities, kids swings, letter hunt game, garden, etc. In addition is has a tire-swing, big-kid swings, a small misting shower (for hot days), chime-bell area, monkey bars, a sliding pole, as well as stroller parking, and benches for adults to sit on. Lots of local businesses and individuals (like ANG's 193rd Special Operations Wing) sponsored & helped with its construction. As mentioned it has a covered pavillion with picnic tables, restrooms, water fountains, as well as a rollerskating rink, soccer & baseball fields nearby. There also is a wetlands nature trail that you can walk or push a stroller along that has info about the flora & fauna of the area. Ample parking nearby.

The trail is a short loop to the falls. Great Falls this isn't, but it's significant enough to generate a nice spray. A rather upset-looking fish flopped down shallow water as I approached. Upstream of the falls was a challenge. Few fords were viable, perhaps owing to heavy rain, and signs suggesting the area was blocked off were ignored by expeditions looking for better crossings. I made it across the stream and back, but I did get a little wet. The scenery isn't worth a long drive on its own, but paired with the other local park sites, it makes for good viewing, and in particular this space with its parking limitations can't get too crowded.

It would be nice if the trail extended around the whole reservoir. In my opinion the only negatives are the occasional bike, or dog without a leash.

A little difficult when crowded because the creek entry points are narrow (single file). There is vegetation blocking access to the rest of the creek. Grandkids were overwhelmed with what to climb and play on first as there was so much to see and do! The main play structure is massive and has tons of activities for all ages/climb & play levels. I especially liked the "stone cave" with a panther on top, it made for a cute photo opp. My youngest, a train fanatic, loved the train playset. For me, the tandum swing was my favorite. No need to push when you can put your little one in a safety seat in front of you and your swinging action moves both swings. It was genius and something I've never seen before. The grounds were well maintained, with lots of grassy area to run, as well as benches and a pavilion. Although it's a bit of a drive for us I do plan on returning.
