Outstanding lawyer!…read more I first contact Mr. Mahoney back in 2014 regarding a case I had pending from 2007 for a few criminal charges. I was living in the UK at the time but wanted to get things resolved here in the U.S. He was the only lawyer that I spoken to that actually listened to my story and gave me the time of day. It took me a couple of years to save up so that I could make the move back to the States and face my charges with a Professional lawyer by my side this time. I landed in the U.S. the day before Thanksgiving with my wife and kids. Mr. Mahoney was there to make sure I could get bailed. This all took a lot of planning and commitment on his part. We spend hours and hours going over my case and preparing for trial over the last few months. Mr. Mahoney was very transparent on what could happen on the day of trial but at the same time very confident, which definitely helped me during this stressful time. A couple of days before trial Mr. Mahoney was able to strike a plea with the distric attorney which I was very happy to accept. In court Mr. Mahoney was very professional and confident. Even though my case didn't end up in trial I believe all of his hard work and time spent with me was money very well spent which ended up landing me a free man. He has helped me get resolution from something that had been weighing on me for the last ten years of my life and I am forever thankful. I highly recommend Mr. Mahoney.

Mr. Mahoney is absolutely brilliant, hardworking, and goes above and beyond! I hired him to…read morerepresent me in a restraining order case against an ex boyfriend. He spent a considerable amount of time preparing for the hearing, on short notice. He analyzed a large number of text messages, screenshots, and documents and made sure I knew exactly what to expect during the hearing. He called on a Sunday evening, the night before the hearing, to see if I had any last-minute questions. I was anxious and asked him what type of questions I might be asked. He then spent 45 minutes conducting what seemed like a mock hearing. This made me much more comfortable and I felt well-prepared and confident. It eased a lot of nerves. Mr. Mahoney is a compassionate human being. There were many times when I called in anxious. He was patient, listened to my concerns, and addressed them all. He showed a great deal of empathy and understanding. He always kept me informed of every update, no matter how minor. He was reassuring, yet completely honest in his assessment of our chances at winning. Mr. Mahoney severely underestimated the amount of work he ended up putting in for this case and undercharged me. He estimated what's necessary, but still put in a lot more time than that. It seemed he was accustomed to putting in whatever time is necessary to guarantee a win. His impressive reputation as a lawyer matters more to him than the compensation he receives and his competitive spirit won't let him accept anything less than perfect preparation for and presentation at the hearing. We had agreed on a flat fee, but the case became more complicated as it progressed, as my ex sought custody of my pet in a separate hearing. What should've been over in a month dragged for close to a year. Mr. Mahoney remained professional and honored the flat fee. He never made me feel like I deserved any less of his time as a result, and did not hesitate to continue putting in 110% of the effort. His dedication and devotion to his work is unlike anything I've ever seen. He anticipated every possible thing that could go wrong, every argument that my ex or his lawyer could make, and every move they could conceive of. This kicked up my anxiety a bit, as I was constantly worried about the worst case scenario, but paid off well, as we were always steps ahead of everyone and everything. We won our case and by comparison to Mr. Mahoney, my ex's lawyer seemed so incompetent. Mr. Mahoney had been preparing me for possible avenues that my ex's lawyer could take, some of which would've been smart to do. Yet his lawyer never thought of or never attempted those options. My ex was also clearly un-prepared, as it seemed like some of his answers were not something that his lawyer had anticipated. Mr. Mahoney asked had me so many questions prior to the hearing, even when I was hesitant to go into painful or embarrassing experiences. He gave me the option to speak to his paralegal if I was comfortable or to type things out. He made sure he had all details, so that we were well-prepared and put together the strongest argument. I suspect that any lawyer would seem inept by comparison to Mr. Mahoney's experience and dedication. It was so reassuring to have a great lawyer by my side! I did not know this prior to hiring Mr. Mahoney, but he is one of the top attorneys in the country (listed top 100 nationwide). He wrote a book on cross-examination and was featured in Forensic Files' "Dessert Served Cold" episode. I thought I would see a short clip of him, but he actually was so central to the story, that his showing up alone was a major turning point. His work in that case was very impressive, but I think what's most important is that it shows how willing he is to do diligent research that other lawyers might not be motivated enough to do. I am very confident that he is the best lawyer you could ever hire! His paralegal, Ms. Bedoyan, was just as professional and courteous. She was friendly and responded promptly whenever I called or sent out an e-mail. I highly recommend this firm!

Disclaimer: The below review is my own opinion based on my personal experience. Your experience…read moremay vary. Hiring this law firm was the most expensive mistake of my life. Run- don't walk away from this place. Unless you want to be verbally and emotionally abused by your own attorney when you're most vulnerable and most in need of assistance. I selected this firm based on the 5 star Yelp reviews but my experience was far from 5 stars. During my consult, the Attorney assigned to my case (Donna Saber) sounded competent and professional- so I agreed to hire Wright Law. However, it took constant prodding and phone calls from me to move the divorce forward over an 18 month period. Donna almost never proactively reached out to me to provide any case updates. It was always me calling or emailing her asking for a status. For the first 18 months of my case, Donna was reasonably cordial (but nearly always hurried, curt and abrupt). However, as we were getting closer to the actual hearing dates ("crunch time") Donna completely let me down. There were meetings and hearings scheduled with almost zero explanation of what the hearing was for, how I should prepare, what I should expect, who would be present. When I would ask these (and other questions) - Donna Saber would become agitated, annoyed and exasperated. Dealing with my own attorney became so stressful because of her temper and erratic volatility. If that wasn't bad enough, Donna was often disorganized and scattered. Example: Donna submitted legal documents for me to sign and notarize that were full of glaring errors including assets (on the asset inventory sheet) that we didn't even mine (we don't own a home in Quincy!). So here I am (the client) paying thousands of dollars in attorneys fees while I proofread and correct my own attorney's work. It would laughable if it wasn't so egregious (and costly). The worst part? Donna screamed and cursed at me (dropped an F bomb on me) on 11/14/25. Here's some direct quotes from Donna during our conversations within the two weeks prior to the first pre-trial hearing in front of the judge: "We already went over this!" "I don't have tiiiiiiimmmeeee for this!" "Oh here we go again with you - around and around!!." It got so bad (and so routine) that every time I saw my lawyer's name on the caller ID I would get so anxious because the calls with were so triggering. She would also get very defensive when I asked if certain tasks have been done or what the plan/strategy is? In my personal experience, I've never worked with an attorney as unprofessional, erratic and volatile as Donna Saber (and I've worked with many attorneys over the years). I tried to speak to the owner or the firm about how I was being treated (Ellen Wright is the owner) but she denied everything, vehemently defended the actions of her employee and offered zero sympathy or support. It's my opinion that Ellen just wanted to make sure she got paid- despite the abhorrent treatment I received by her firm. My personal opinion & experience is that Ellen Wright is extremely money focused and NOT results driven. This firm doesn't appear to care whether or not their lawyers actually get the job done, create effective legal strategies or mediate a successful solution - they care about dragging cases out and BILLING THE MAXIMUM amount of hours they can squeeze out of their clients. Bottom line- don't be fooled (like I was) by the 5 Star reviews. If you're a masochist and thinking about hiring this firm, you should think long and hard if you want to put yourself through the same hell that I went through. Then think about it again. Wright Law should be ashamed how I was treated. They made the difficult process of divorce far more stressful and painful than it needed to be. Read some of the recent one star reviews (check Google Reviews and Yelp)...they're much more reflective of what I experienced. I paid well over $10k to get absolutely ZERO results - no divorce. I had to fire Wright Law and start from scratch with a whole new firm (and a whole new retainer fee). The above review is my personal opinion based on my own experience.
