This was one of the worst nail salons I have ever visited. I requested a gel removal and manicure. I left the salon with the remnants of the last gel still on my nails, and varying lengths and shapes. The salon had no neutral nail color options, and when I asked to just pay for gel removal and skip the polish I was pressured into getting the only neutral "color" they could offers I could have done a better job myself. Extremely frustrating and difficult experience, a the salon refused to issue a partial refund or provide a remedy. Recommend staying far away from this salon. read more

I. do find that coming during the off peak hours during the week is a little less stressful as this salon gets super busy on the weekends and after 5 PM daily. You can get a spa pedicure for only $50 and it's an hour of chair and leg and foot massage topped off with a pedicure if desired. This is a coed salon and many men come in for their feet care. The nails were shaped and polished well. The downsides. The water in the pedi bowl was cold even when asked for it to be warmer even when asking for it to be HOT. The polish products are cheap. No OPI or Essie here. I googled the galaxy gel polished used and I learned it is soak off removable gel polish. One more concerning thing. I'm not sure that when you leave a tip that the tip actually goes to technician. Only one man spoke English. None of the female technicians working there spoke English well enough for me to confirm that they actually get the tip. I really do not think the tips left on credit card slips get to the actual technician. None of the technicians and workers seemed happy. I felt bad for them. I can't speak on others experiences but I've been going here since April 2021 & out of my visits I've only been dissatisfied once & it was wasn't because of the service it was over one single nail, that had a shellac polish that didn't work well when I went in to bring it to their attention they fixed it for me without appointment. I think their prices based on the location is fair , if you want cheap nails go somewhere else but if you want it done correctly go to Gel Nails ! I personally only go to Amy or Jenni but I've been helped by others when I've went in without an appointment. The nail techs communicate with me if they can do the designs I bring to them & ensure my comfort rather than just continuing on with their day to day routine they make sure water , rocks and towels during pedicures are at an ok temperature before use . Amy always brings my ideas to life so beautifully , I leave happy and always get compliments . Some people don't know but you can park in the garage I believe up to 3 hours for free as long as you bring a receipt from a business in the area like Gel Nails , Cold Stone or anything on that block ! Long wait times, I even called ahead of time to see if they had availability and they said they did but the place was packed when I arrived... The super amazing nail artist I go to all the time (Yee at Virgo) is on vacation and I was in dire need of a manicure before I started to have breakage, so I tried a different place, closer to places I shop. I figured if they're awesome, I have a more convenient option in the future. What a mistake. The first technician was more interested in her phone than my nails, and nearly broke two of my nails by catching their edges with her dremel tool. Then she burned like a big strip of my cuticle, proximal nail fold, and matrix with it. I made a small yelping sound and jerked my hand a bit. She seemed to not understand what happened so I told her she either burned or cut me with the tool and asked her to please be more careful. She indicated that I should put my hand back in the baggie of acetone that I'd been soaking in, and I said I would rather not if my skin was broken. She said that if I didn't she couldn't do anything else to my nails. I checked the injured area and saw it didn't appear to be broken skin so I complied, but I reiterated that she needed to be more careful because she'd already caught my nails twice and burned me once. My frustration was evident, but I didn't raise my voice. It was a completely reasonable tone for the circumstances. She walked away with no apology and took her tool with her, and then a few minutes later a different tech showed up and told me I'd be moving to her station. So I moved to her station, my hands still swimming unhappily in baggies of acetone, and she carried my stuff over. I thanked her and told her what we had planned for my nails. Cherry Bomb red, and some pieces of butterfly confetti I'd spotted on a shelf there. She proceeded to work on my nails and rebuff any attempts I made to engage her in conversation. I stopped trying after a while. She also worked exaggeratedly slowly and carefully with the tool. I don't know if that's her regular style, or she was just hoping not to injure me again since I'd already been injured, or if she was making a point to get back at me for daring to speak up and upset her colleague with my unfortunate need to have skin. Given how cold she was to me throughout the experience, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the third option. We get to the part with the butterflies and she just kinda dumps a few of them on my nail, with no attempt at artistry at all. She asked me if I liked it. I said I would rather that they be arranged more carefully, and she half-assedly tried but didn't use any sort of tool that would help. I finally said, "Can we just scrap the butterflies?" She wordlessly peeled off the butterflies she could get off and used the dremel on the remaining stubborn one that stuck. At the end she instructed me to wash my hands to remove the acetone, and said she'd check me out at the front. I noticed on the receipt that she charged me the extra amount for the design she failed to place, but I just didn't feel like arguing at that point and the card had already been run so it would have been a major hassle. I tipped her very well in a two-can-play-at-that-game-of-weaponized-niceness kind of way, and left. I will not be returning to Gel Nails. read more

My cousin and I stopped in yesterday and we received great service. We waited no more than about 10 minutes, the place was packed and we were walk-ins so that was a pleasant surprise. We got the $35 hot stone pedicure. The ladies took their time! It was really a great and they massages us well too! He walked up to me and said there is no one here that can fix your nails. I only went to Gel Nails for Nina but she does not work there anymore. That is sad because my nails break after one fill or even break during the first two weeks of having the new set. It's not okay to go to a nail shop and the application be wrong enough for your nails to break before even hitting the first week mark. I even paid 5 bucks to fix two nails and later that night another nail broke. I only change clothes or shut my car door and that is enough for my nails to break. Each photo is from two different time and not to mention each set is brand new and every other time my nails fall off or break. However, when Nina did my nails they lasted. I travel for work, so this nail salon was the only one within distance. I called ahead time and asked for prices on services. When I got there, I received a pedicure and was given a fill. While receiving my fill he tells me all different prices and could not tell me what was for the price quoted to me on the phone. Then he tells me in a way as if I bargaining with him, "okay I will do it for you for this price." I got shellac and not even two days later my nails are chipped off at the edges. My pedicure kept missing up in the salon and when they fixed it, they used another shade of the color and I had to leave, but they were taking no accountability. Our feet take us places and our nails are some of our first impressions on others. So we headed over to Gel Nails for a pedicure. Yes- men get pedicures also. We had to wait a few minutes and on first entry the shop looks to be a bit disheveled. We were taken to the massage chairs and bowls and asked to select a service. Let it be pointed out that the one tv had college football on so this was a perfect Saturday spot for me. We selected a basic pedicure and got talked into an upcharged one as always. The workers didn't disappoint. They were very meticulous and seemed to have their own banter while we had ours. The shop was full and also seemed to be disheveled in the main sections. Some people got beverages and some did not. Being a first timer, I didn't ask because I didn't know if this was something you had to earn. The quality of the work is good and detail was key. I will say my heel is a bit rough today in one spot, but nothing like it was. It had been a few summer months since my last one and they did an excellent job. I give the workers a 5, and the facility gets a 3.5, so my average rating is 4. If I'm in midtown and in need of a pedicure, I'd stop in again. read more

As a regular customer (known by name) of this business I was beyond disappointed today with what happened to me and my husband. A week ago I booked pedis for us for 3:00 pm. We arrived at 3:00 and were told there were no chairs and it would be a 30 minute wait. I commented we had made an appointment a week ago and that was not acceptable. They were allowing every walk in to have seats and didn't plan for the appointment. And btw, the place was packed with people waiting. The owner (who I usually go to) noticed my frustration and reviewed the room and ended up saying it would be 10 minutes. I accepted that so we waited. Within 5 minutes 2 chairs opened up and we were seated. Another 5 minutes later someone actually turned the water on to soak. At 3:40, however, and still no pedicurist, we were asked if we wanted to "go find something to do" until we could have the service. My husband turned her down and I indicated we were leaving. On the way out I told the owner how unacceptable the encounter was. Nothing but an "I'm sorry". We won't be back. I'm new to Omaha and I'm trying to find a nail salon that I like. I decided to try this one out since it was the closest salon to me that offers dip. I made and appointment for 9:15 am and got in immediately (they had just opened at 9 so I didn't have to worry about walk-ins taking my spot). It was really small and really crowded salon. They have two nail tables in the lobby and waiting chairs lined along the door. It also doesn't appear very clean either, which is my reason for 4 stars. I picked out my color and my nail tech (Helen or Ellen?) started working on my nails. I feel like every time I go to a new nail salon it's going to be a mystery for what the final product is going to be so when she didn't put the clear dip base coat on first and started with color my expectations dropped instantly. However, the final product is one of the best I've received so far in Omaha. I asked for short nails that have a coffin shape, which can be kind of hard if the nails are too short. My lady killed it though. The shape is great and the color looks good too. What I like is that she out the color all the way up to the cuticle. So many times techs but it a centimeter or so down from the cuticle and nails look grown out after just a couple days. I recommend this place and recommend the tech I had. Pricing was a surprise at the end, I was told forty and expected an additional 5 for adding tips, so when it came back as 50 I asked about it and she said they charge extra for the shape. However, the woman who I think was maybe the owner took off the five for the shape since my nails are so short, so that was nice. I wanted to get a full set, but I was on a budget, so I opted for gel polish and a cut down instead. The place had a line at the front door and some customers sitting down. However we were promptly greeted and taken to a station. We were in and out in about 10 minutes flat, if that. I love my nails. They are simple, but cute and functional. My nail tech was a bit distant. He wasn't overly nice or rude.. He just simply did his job. Which, I guess, in this environment is all people really expect. No complaint. Just noting. I'd come back.
