I was able to get my fur baby's annual appointment scheduled within three business days of me calling. They have plenty of seating inside, a private enclosed glass room if you need to sit away from other animals or people. They also offer curbside service, you just have to call and let them know you are outside in curbside. My only complaint is I was scheduled for an appointment at 2pm, and we weren't seen until after 2:30-2:40ish. We didn't leave until 3:30pm.

My guy is also 100 lbs and sometimes the hefty pre-visit drugs relax him enough but other times his system fights them hard and we can't make the visit happen. While the visits are still a bit stressful, knowing that we are a team relieves a lot of my own anxiety and guilt that I felt about the situation at our previous vet. It's clear they genuinely embrace the "fear free" mentality and see my guy Wiley as more than just a difficult patient!

The exam room we were in today also had a few jars of snacks for pups too which was really thoughtful. And how cute are the doors with the little glassed in areas for your pet to peek out into the lobby? All in all, a fantastic first visit today. We loved how Dr. Kelly and Meagan were so friendly and approachable. Truly listened to our concerns and were also able to put us, and Benny, at ease. Benny left a happy pup and we look forward to future visits at Metrovet with their lovely staff. P.S., they also have a drink and snack station in the lobby with fruit snacks, granola bars, water, coffee, AND juice. So thoughtful and much appreciated. Prices were very reasonable with a fecal exam for $39 and $75 for the visit.

Luckily, Buddy was quickly better after the first visit. Dr Clary now has an office in the Schnucks plaza on Lindell. She also makes house calls throughout the area. If you work during the day and don't have time to go to the vet, she can come to your house when you get home from work. Just so happens Dr. Brooks and Dr. Frei are both amazing at what they do and we love them! Every visit we've had nothing but great things to say about them. The front desk staff is consistent, friendly, and ever helpful when I call in or come in. This alone is refreshing compared to several vets we've seen. We never have a long wait. They are understanding of my helicopter mom attitude with my pets. They also seem to put my pets at ease. More recently, Dr. Brooks discovered a heart issue with one or our pups. We ended up needing to take him to Mizzou emergency. After a late night emergency visit, I was overwhelmed and confused about his prognosis. When I called to ask Dr. Brooks to help me understand, she took the time to explain their findings so I could easier understand what is going on with him. Another time, one of our pets had a procedure by Dr. Brooks to remove mast cell tumors. Our dog was less than pleased and removed all her staples. When I frantically called in a panic, they were able to reassure me and took care of it promptly. She also had some issues with not wanting to wear the cone (which was a must given the eaten staples). They told me to come up and they helped me secure the inflatable donut we had for her. Worked like a charm and she wore it for weeks comfortably. If you're looking for a new vet to call home, check this place out. It's conveniently located just outside of the city.

As someone from the medical field, I called the vet and asked if they had availability for the day and if they could squeeze my dog in on that same day to get checked immediately due to his symptoms. The staff at the veterinary clinic were very attentive and caring towards my dog, and the visit lasted about 1.5 hours. During that time, my dog underwent an X-ray, blood work, and IV infusion. Fortunately, the diagnostic testing showed that everything was fine, and we just did preventative treatment. However, it is essential to note that the bill for the visit was expensive. If you are trying to budget your vet visit, there may be better places to go. However, since I have insurance for my dog, I usually go to locations that provide extra care. In conclusion, this clinic is a good option if you are looking for a veterinary clinic that provides thorough and attentive care for your pet. However, it may be more expensive than other options, so weighing the costs and benefits before deciding is essential.

I feel like the overall goals of the clinic have shifted far toward making profit since selling to private equity quite a few years ago. Theyre just... way less helpful than they used to be. Have performed lipoma removal surgery on my dog twice and did an excellent job. For the most part, the guidance on recovery was decent, but not the most helpful. My feelings about this started last year I believe or the year before when I got a notice that my dog was due for a checkup, so I made the appointment. When I arrived they had asked me why we were in, and I said I had gotten the notice that my dog was ready for a checkup. They looked at his records and determined he was not actually do for anything, but the vet still proceeded to take his heart rate, pet him, and charge me for the visit which I thought was crazy. After that visit, things have been so confusing scheduling wise. He was very condescending and trying to sell me food even after I told him about my cats food sensitivities and that I've tried that brand and they didn't eat it which he dismissed as "well it's the best option". So the food they won't eat isn't the best option clearly?!
