We have no idea why he never returned to finish it. We have called him, texted him and written letters begging him to finish the job as contracted. He doesn't take our calls and ignores letters and text messages. The steps are required by code and are part of the written contract with us that he signed before starting this step replacement project. Don't trust him to finish any project that you hire him for! He is erratic and can be unreliable.Poorly run business.Avoid!!. Addition: middle top step in upper run of cement block steps has started to sink. Terrible news.

He worked 4.5 hours on it while I watched and assisted as needed. His diagnosis and recommendations were on the mark and his approach was logical and efficient. Garret was an impressive young man, is competent and respectful. The price and value were fair and reasonable. His brother, Gage, had serviced our 4 mini-splits on 27 March 2024 and did a superb job, as well. Throughout the year they were also unresponsive to multiple emails and phone calls. It has now been over a month since we moved out and none of us have gotten our security deposit back.

What a disappointing conclusion to living in a place that was much more enjoyable when owned by…read moreRemax. When Kevin purchased the apartment complex in which my mom and I were living, one of the first things he did was have the AC unit removed from the wall right before the weather started getting hot (with no touch-up afterward), followed by increasing rent by $270/mo despite no upgrades to our particular apartment. Furthermore, multiple maintenance requests went ignored, including the kitchen sink not draining properly, (we ended up doing our dishes in the bathtub for over a year,) the garbage disposal unit not working, and the dishwasher not working. The washer and dryer were also removed from the basement of our building. In addition, Kevin Gardner himself is an incredibly unpleasant person to interact with and does not care at all about his tenants, only the money they give him for their necessary shelter. My mom once called because a new neighbor was locked out of her apartment (because they gave her the wrong key), and I could hear Kevin belittling my mom over the phone for calling him, and it wasn't even on speaker. Kind of seems like he doesn't like women who stand up for themselves ‍ It has now been two weeks since we moved out, and communication has completely ceased regarding our security deposit, despite trying to call and e-mail. But hey, as long as Kevin has money in his pockets, right? I don't expect to see the security deposit, based on past interactions, but let this serve as a warning for future renters. I've had some bad landlords, but this dude tops the list without contest. Just a fair warning if you're looking for a place to live. Save yourself some heartache and go with a different realtor, because Kevin is 100% about Kevin, not you.
