I never really thought about going to buy a battery or a bulb. Fast forward a couple of months, and I'm reading an article about the store doing technical work on cell phones. For example, replacing batteries on iPhones or Androids in which the customer can't do the work. Being the owner of an old Droid turbo 2 which is sealed and not meant for battery replacement, I was intrigued. I called the shop and spoke to the manager who said they could order a battery and it would take a couple of days to arrive. True to her word, they called when the battery came in and I scheduled an appointment to have the phone fixed. I dropped it off and it took the technician about an hour to replace the battery and put the phone back together. The entire cost was about $74. That's a pretty good deal considering a new phone would have cost me about $850. With the new battery the phone works great and I didn't lose any data or files, the work was guaranteed for a year. it's nice not to remain tethered to the power cord as I have been for the past couple of months due to the failing battery on my Droid. They also have every bulb and battery imaginable, Plus all kinds of cool techie items and phone accessories.
