Not sure if they have other types, but there were the classic bikes, no gears, coaster (pedal) brakes. Cape May is very flat so it's fine to have no gears. They have baskets to attach to the front of the bike. I'd recommend one to carry your stuff. If you get the chance, grab a bike and go for a nice bike ride as the sun is setting on the bay. Tough to beat!

Returning was even more simple, I just locked my bike with all of the other bikes at the shop since it was after hours. I have no children, and I have a 2 bedroom condo. Small beds and cribs are certainly not at my disposal. When I called, the woman who answered the phone also happened to be the owner. She explained the service and then I explained what I needed, and before you knew it, the process was over, and within 3 hours, I had all the things I needed to host my Sisters growing family. Full size crib, a toddler bed and bicycles for all involved (one even had a baby seat installed on it when it arrived). Couldn't be happier with the service. I'd highly recommend them to anyone on vacation.

So I threw away what drinks & snacks I couldn't carry to bike back and they food me to pay for the additional full hour that I didn't pay for.
