I have been a customer of GCOM Support since the beginning. I was having difficulty connecting my Oticon ConnectClip to my laptop. It connects with my hearing aides so that I can listen to any sounds on my laptop i.e. videos. I had called technical support for the device but they were unable to help me. After months of exasperating, ever-more-turgid performance by my desktop and facing expensive replacement, I bought it in to GCom. Their technicians quickly diagnosed a failing hard drive and suggested replacing it with a solid state drive. I wanted to try building a PC after being disappointed in the past with stock computers offered in bigger stores. My knowledge was limited, so I contacted GCOM Support. Steph had a detailed conversation with me in order to determine my overall budget, as well as my goals for the build: I explained that I was looking for something to help me pursue an interest in illustration and graphic design, as well as to run games. He took the time to research a setup that would suit my needs, and provided recommendations using parts ordered from newegg.ca. He walked me through each of the components he chose, and offered reasons for their selection based on his own personal computer use and experience. When the parts arrived, he helped me put my pc together, rather than simply assembling it for me. This allowed me to gain hands on experience which I could apply to my next pc build in the future: somethign I would never have gained buying a pc at a large store. The overall experience provided by GCOM was clear and easy: I found it to be much more personable than dealing with a big box store employee and purchasing a stock PC with a factory setup. This was due to Steph's insistance on having good conversations concerning my goals, as well as his obvious concern with my overal satisfaction. Wow ... I must say it is amazing to watch someone work their talent and knowledge without having to use a manual or guess. I had trouble with my computer as it would freeze, shut down on it's own or it was very slow. GCOM support (Steph) was able to find the problem and get rid of viruses. I am truly happy with the service. He is very professional and dependable. GCOM support was also very helpful in regards to my security and firewall protection.
