We carried full…read morehouse refurbishment, extensions and loft conversions for the past 10 year...basically we know what we are taking about. We wanted to post this review to WARN anyone thinking about using A-Klass Carpentry and Joinery LTD services. The owner of this company is named Carl. We have used him a number of times over the years in an attempt to build relationships and every time we have tried with him he has let us down... on timings, causing delays and extra costs frustration for ourselves and our clients. He is an outright liar, he will makes promises he doesn't keep. His staff are often unskilled, unreliable, lazy, messy leaving used materials and lunchtime food containers all around their work space, and they often don't turn up to do the work. When they do finally attend site they are unprofessional in their manner and in how they go about their business. The work is often left not finalised and requires additional visits (which never happen or can take weeks, if not months to action) to fix and secure the poor workmanship (staircases in particular.) He often has to under take a second or third visit...so be WARNED. His project management skills are poor at best and he's often impossible to get on the phone when something needs amending, or additional work. He a likeable personality but don't let that fool you he cannot be trusted to deliver work from start to finish. If we could have given no stars we would, use at your peril and extreme frustration. Please note we were not a one time customer and he had good reasons to take care of us, too secure future work and his service was terrible, terrible, terrible.

Tiptop Builders is a group of very friendly builders led by Max, who are all complete stars. They…read moreare efficient, super friendly and left our flat looking clean at the end of each day...so coming home to a half-finished flat wasn't too stressful. - We used them a few months ago to remove our ugly built-in wardrobe and re-plaster one of our bedrooms. - Then they came back to install some radiators and fit a new wooden floor - They discovered a leak under our floor (that had been causing condensation and damp) so fixed this before they installed our new flooring. - Lastly they fitted new internal and external doors Most of this work was done by Ruslan, who is the loveliest builder I have ever met! He was really friendly and polite, and was incredibly careful with all the small details to ensure he finished every room perfectly. It's a bit like living in a totally different (and far more stylish) flat now they have finished. If we ever move house and need builders, I will definitely get them involved again. **Although this is their first yelp review, they have loooads of other good reviews on google+, so if you don't believe me, have a look: https://plus.google.com/+TiptopbuildersLtdUkservice/about

I went to a quite a few kitchen retailers before I made a decision on who to buy my kitchen from. I…read morecame across many harsh sales people who just wanted to take obscene amounts of money from us without actually giving us the kitchen that we wanted. Then we came across Admo Kitchens online and decided to pop into their branch. Honestly Mushtaq, Mohammad and Jay are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will meet. From conception to completion, the process couldn't have been better. We went for a German Häcker kitchen as I did a lot of research and found that this kitchen suited us the most. Admo were very competitive with their pricing and compared to some of the previous quotes that I had, I found Admo to be very reasonable. We also changed a few things as we went along and they were all so patient with us. Our kitchen extension was delayed due to a number of reasons and they were so understanding. At all times they considered our best interests and it was really refreshing to see that instead of being driven by how much money they will make like the bigger companies, it was quality and customer satisfaction that drove them to deliver a kitchen and service of such a high standard. The fitters, Altaf and Terry, were also lovely. They did a very good job and I couldn't be happier. They even came back to do a few extra things that I thought of after to add to the kitchen which was very nice of them. Overall, I would definitely recommend Admo over any of the bigger retailers. You will definitely get your money's worth along with a beautiful kitchen and great customer service!!

After two very cold winters, the thought of another one was too much to bare, something had to be done about our drafty front door. The first hurdle was finding a door that was fitting for the house, despite the age of the house we luckily had a standard sized door so I found one on web and had it delivered. The second was finding someone reliable to fit the door. I did what anyone would do and typed - Carpenter E3 - into Google and I found a site called mybuilder.com. This is were I found E5 Carpentry, which I selected based on their great reviews, location in E5 just down the road and detailed website. I emailed my enquiry and I received a quick reply from Calum, whilst he was on holiday! When he was back I received a very reasonable quote and I booked him in to do the job and he was kind enough to squeeze me in on a Saturday. The day for fitting arrived and it was raining. Rain and untreated doors don't go together. After about 20 minutes of wishing the rain to stop we abandoned for the day. Work resumed on bank holiday Monday and the weather was much better (I felt so bad that they gave up their day off!) Calum and Oscar had the patience of saints. The door frame was a nightmare, in short nothing was straight and as one niggle was solved another appeared straight away! They worked tirelessly throughout the day to get the door weatherproof. They kept the work contained and cleared up as they went along. The door was painted the next morning. I was very cheeky and asked if the door frame could be smartened up too and they managed to squeeze in the extra work for me they next day. I'm so pleased with my new door. It's really made the house feel more ours. I will definitely be keeping Calum's number for future work.

We had fitted wardrobes and shelves built in our bedroom and they look fabulous. It was great to see not 1 or 2 dingy photos of previous work but 2 whole portfolios of clear bright photos of the whole range of work Custom Carpentry carries out. Tristan filled us with confidence, from the start; he paid great attention to what we said we wanted, made drawings and discussed every detail with us until he was sure we were happy.
