This review is about a year and a half late, as Brian did our wedding in June of 2013, but that…read moredoesn't change the fact that he turned out some of the best possible photographs my wife and I could've asked for! From the very beginning, Brian was very friendly and helpful as far as working with us during the planning stage. We didn't know much going into it, except that we needed a photographer and that we were on a budget. Well, we got much more than we bargained for! I'm into lifted trucks and four wheeling and it just so happened that Brian also has a passion for cars/ trucks and taking pictures of them. On the way into the wedding they took moving shots of my groomsman and I driving down the highway and into the dirt lot at the wedding. All of them turned out spectacular, and they made us look way cooler than we actually were, which is a big bonus. At the wedding they didn't miss a beat throughout the ceremony and reception, and were always at the right place at the right time. I'm still amazed at how they were able to caption some of the action packed moments during the reception. As if this all wasn't enough, they also compiled a short video for us that we didn't even pay for! Not only did they take thousands of pictures, and fill up 3 SD cards (I think that was the number) but they were absolutely amazing and fun to be around the entire time! It was like we invited them to the wedding and they just so happened to be excellent photographers. That being said, if you like anti-social, business-only-no-fun individuals who act like they hate their job you and want to feel like your being awkwardly put on the spot at your wedding, do not call Brian. However, if you like fun, down-to-earth, yet still professional, productive, folks to come to your wedding who are excellent photographers and videographers then you should definitely call Brian! We chose Joyce and Robert as the photographers for our wedding day based on the quality of the…read morephotos on their website and an initial phone call we had with Joyce. Joyce seemed to understand the feeling that we were going for with our wedding and could answer every one of my photo-knowledgable wife's questions about their approach to photography. It was also important to us to know that we'd have two photographers for the wedding to allow us to capture both of us prior to the ceremony and Joyce and Randy provide that. They were exactly what you'd want on the day of the wedding: non-intrusive. Having just now received the final photos from the day, it was clear that they were there for many moments that we were pleasantly surprised by and captured all the important pieces without fail. Also, we weren't keen on the idea of too many posed formal pictures and they made that part of the day quick and painless. There were only two reasons that we gave them four stars instead of five. First, and this one serves as more of a warning to be specific in your needs as a potential customer, we didn't get as many still life pictures of the event as we would have liked. While it's typical that the bride and groom don't get to eat a lot, we're pretty sure there was a lot of beautiful food there and we were surprised not to see any of it in the photos. Second is that the engagement photo session that was included in the package was a bit concerning for us. We picked a location that had lots of variety and lots of different lighting situations and when we received the photos we became very concerned about their ability to ensure proper lighting conditions on our faces on the day of. However, once we discussed this with them and they let us know the difference between what they did on the test shoot day versus the day of, we were satisfied. That satisfaction proved true when Randy, because he knew it meant a lot to us, took test pictures of every important image to check the lighting before moving on. We would definitely recommend J. Perlman and R. Lutge to anyone getting married in the San Francisco Bay Area.

They were super helpful with figuring out how to naturally pose us. Their pricing is extremely affordable. They were able to capture some images I never thought of. E&B did wedding photos for us for our ceremony and reception in Walnut Creek, and they did an…read moreexcellent job. Not only did the photos come out great, but they were professional and efficient with posed photos. That ended up being really important to us because it was extremely hot out (103!), so it was great to get through the photos quickly and get everyone back into the shade! Due to some unforeseen complications with our venue, we had to change both the venue and the schedule slightly, relatively late into the planning process. E&B were extremely helpful in figuring out how we could still get all the time for photos we needed, even proactively looking around for an air-conditioned space we could use to take pictures before the ceremony itself. I'd wholeheartedly recommend them for wedding photos, they were able to take charge when needed for posed photos to make sure we got some excellent shots, but other than that we wouldn't even have known they were there! Chris was great to communicate with, and Christian and Ella did such a great job with the photography day-of! They were all a joy to work with and I would highly recommend e&b photography.
