She was so friendly and welcoming, and you could tell she really cared about the restaurant. She told me her parents have owned it for 21 years. I was craving a chicken sandwich, so she recommended The One Stop. She nailed it. The chicken was juicy, the breading was light, the bread tasted homemade, and that melted mozzarella was so good. Everything tasted fresh. I honestly ate the sandwich way too fast. The pasta salad was also really good... I could've eaten a lot more of it. She even came back to check how everything was, and I gave her a thumbs-up with my mouth completely full. It's a clean, welcoming place with a huge drink selection, but the hospitality really made the visit for me. It would behove the pizzeria to shut down for a week and intensively train their staff as there is just too much competition nearby to not be at your best. Personally, one of my irks is that orders come out staggered so that a table of two or more patrons receive their dishes at different times. This is awkward and a huge restaurant no no. Nobody likes to watch someone else eat while their stomach growls nor does someone like to chew while others at the table try to avoid staring. Boar's Head meats and cheeses are used in the subs & sandwiches and also sold here by the pound. While driving through the village, I stopped in at Sub Hubb at 6pm, but then I realized they close at 6pm, which is a bit early for dinner time. The person at the counter was cashing out a customer as I walked in at closing time. I asked if I could still get some food and was told cold items only. I got a 8" Tuna Sub ($7.99 plus tax) made to order with mayo, lettuce, tomato slices, and red onions and a Macaroni Salad and Potato Salad, each under $2 with tax. I was the final customer of the day and I enjoyed with food outside on a sunny warm evening. The tasty and filling tuna sub had a dense albacore tuna salad mix with lettuce, tomato, red onions, and spread of mayo on a soft white sub roll. The deli salad were also good, especially with my sub. I am so glad that I was able to get a tuna sub with deli salads for my dinner, right before closing.
