Joe went above and beyond to get me the best pricing for my tires and was honest with me about the work that needed to be done.

Not my first choice, but my options were limited, this or Maaco, so didn't have much of a choice. From day one, communication was basically nonexistent. Calls went unanswered, voicemails disappeared into the void, and getting any kind of timeline felt like I was at work trying to close a deal with no seller. What was supposed to be a simple 3 day repair somehow stretched into a 2.5 week saga with zero proactive updates. Now, credit where it's due, the bumper repair itself? Solid. They did a good job. But here's the kicker: I go to pick up my car, and suddenly I'm walking into a new problem. My driver side door and fender are scuffed enough that it clearly needs buffing, maybe even repainting. And just like that, we're back to square one. Except this time, no one's there. No staff, no accountability, no answers. I call, again and again, and it's the same story: no pickup, no callback. Total silence. Which, by the way, has been the theme of this entire experience. At a certain point, your time becomes more valuable than the fix seeing that they are also 40 min away. So I made a decision, I'll take the car, handle the new damage myself, give them a negative review and move on. Because dealing with this level of uncertainty again? Not worth it. Still haven't heard back, by the way. Called again today. Maybe this gets their attention.

I hate to even give this place 1 star. Terrible experience. My car was overheating while idling but…read morefine while moving- googled the issue and found it was most likely the cooling fan. I'm new to the area and am trying to find a mechanic, so I called Tim's Auto and dropped it off. Over the phone, he confirmed it was most likely a cooling fan issue. After a few hours, I get a call that they have diagnosed the problem as the cooling fan and it will need to be replaced. They gave me an estimate of $700. Since I drive an older car, I decided I would rather look into buying another used vehicle instead of putting more money into my 19 year old car, and decided not to do the repair. I was then told (for the first time) that there was a diagnosis fee of $100/hr for labor. First of all, I've never been charged more than $20 for just diagnosis at any other mechanic if I didn't decide to proceed with the repair. When I asked why they do not tell customers about the hourly rate up front, Tim responded "No one ever asks." I made the mistake of letting Tim's Auto do my oil change while it was already in his shop. I asked about conventional oil, but was told that they use a synthetic blend which would cost me $50. Tim made it seem that a synthetic blend was the only option they offered, and I didn't think to insist because I foolishly thought he was trustworthy. I took my car to Firestone, where they offered to waive their usual diagnosis fee (only $10) because I had already paid $100 for diagnosis that day, and look my car over. They confirmed the cooling fan issue and gave me an estimate of just $250 for parts and labor total, which I happily agreed to. If you go to Tim's, be on guard for aggressive upselling and sneaky hidden costs. I'll be going to Firestone from now on.
