Fantastic customer service, fair prices, fast, and honest. Cant say enough good things and will be sending my friends and family!

Seriously, Joe is amazing. I know so little about cars, I took mine in today and told him there was a "mechanical frog sound" coming from under the back of my vehicle. He could have told me it was something terribly expensive, and I wouldn't have known better. But....he told me it was a bent heat shield. A simple fix. This is why he has my repeat business. Highly recommended. read more

About a month ago, my dad told me that he noticed something hanging beneath my car. My mind instantly flashed to my visit to a Midas the month prior - when a routine oil change had resulted in the mechanic telling me that I needed hundreds of dollars worth of "repairs." So, I panicked, and chose to pretend that I did not, in fact, have anything hanging loosely beneath my car. Fast forward a month, and the hanging piece of metal began making squeaking noises whenever my car went over a bump in the road. I finally decided it was time to find a true auto garage, and took to Yelp to do some research. I found Gaudet's Garage, read its stellar reviews, and decided that I would give this garage a try. I am SO glad that I did. Joe is wonderful. Making an appointment with him was so simple. I called in the afternoon, and he told me he could fit me in the next day. When I explained that I wouldn't be able to bring my car in until the following afternoon due to my work schedule, he gave me the option to drop my car off that evening, so that he could look at it for me in the morning. I gratefully dropped my car off right away, pointed out the hanging piece of metal, and told him about the squeaking sound. He called me back the next morning, and told me that he had reattached the hanging piece of metal (a heat exhaust shield). When I picked the car up that afternoon, he told me that he had also given my car a quick inspection, and had found nothing else that was in need of repair at this time. NOTHING?! Midas told me I had $$$ worth of necessary repairs! (Shaking my head at you Midas, shaking my head at you). Needless to say, I am so grateful to have found an honest, accommodating, and cost effective mechanic. This was my first visit to Gaudet's Garage, but it's my go-to garage now. read more

Getting my car fixed has always been a source of stress for me. I know less than nothing about cars and I never have a clue whether or not someone's trying to rip me off. Usually I go to my dad and check with him, then go back to the mechanic, back and forth, until the car is fixed and I can go on my way. Of course, the car is never done on time, so I end up borrowing a car for a few days, it ends up costing a ton, and in the end I wonder if I got decent service for a decent price. Not the case with Joe-- he is straightforward, honest and VERY fast. I dropped my car off one morning and picked it up the next day but could have gotten it sooner! Joe isolated the issue and found a few others to be addressed (it's an older car with over 100,000 miles on it), but he also have me an honest timeline-- some things didn't need to be done right away. I had him do it all anyways and I got a FAR better price than I ever did at a dealership, especially with Joe's 15% off new customer discount! I'm done looking for mechanics I can trust-- we'll be using Joe from now on. Highly recommend him to all, and especially owners of Chevys! read more

Good fast work, fair pricing. Highly recommended

I also have an aging SUV. With all the GMC dealers closing in the area, I thought I'd try this mechanic, as he was supposed to know GM products and their individual problems, so I was told. To my amazement, Joe was all that was advertised and then some. Seriously, the work was done on time and the pricing was more than fair. Substantial savings and someone who knew what they were doing. And the biggest thing for me was that he explained everything done and why in a manner I could understand, without making me feel like an idiot. Now how refreshing is that? GREAT EXPERIENCE!! read more

I was referred to Gaudet's by a friend in the area because I needed new tires and some major repairs. As a female, and not knowing much about cars, I was worried about being over charged and pushed into services that were not necessary. Fortunately, all my worries were put to rest. Joe went above and beyond to get me the best pricing for my tires and was honest with me about the work that needed to be done. I didn't feel any pressure. His prices are fair and very reasonable and the quality of work was fantastic! read more

It's taken me almost a year to find a good mechanic - and this guy is it. Joe is a quality, honest guy and extremely knowledgable. I've taken my car to 5 different shops and I'll never take it anywhere else again. Joe was easily able to explain the car issues I was having, and fix it fast. It wasn't just the great customer service, but the price was right too. You'd be foolish to take your car anywhere else. Thank you for your help Joe! read more

Been going to Joe for the past 2 years now and have not been disappointed. Great customer service and reasonable cost. Thanks Joe!

We are new to Winchester and were happy to read the reviews of Gaudet's Garage. We have taken both of our older cars there for diagnosis of problems. Joe is great. Both times, he zeroed on the problem and gave us a reasonable estimate for repair. He works efficiently and quickly. We are so happy that we live close to a great mechanic. read more

Best mechanic I have been too. He does great work, honest and fair prices. I will always go back to him for any work that my car needs. Thanks again Joe. read more

2 additional visits since my last review, same 5 star rating. Joe Gaudet saves me time, worry and money. Little things (that add up to big things, especially after warranty expires!) breaking on my 2005 Escalade, and Joe effortlessly takes care of it all with a smile and a very reasonable cost. I've had warning lights pop up and he explains in very easy to understand terms why things happen, as to alleviate worry and concern. He's consistently available and consistently wonderful. Definitely worth you changing up your mechanic! read more

This was a terrific experience. Dropped the car off for a fix, others would or could not do and at Gaudet's, it was fixed at a reasonable price within hours of getting the car. He figured out the problem and came up with the fix in less than 4 hours from my phone call --to his call that it was ready. Amazing, and very unusual in my experience. Next problem I have, he will be my first call. read more
