Great way to spend 45 minutes. They have an elevator to the main dining area / gift shop. But then there's a couple steps to the alligator area. There might be another my the arcade. It's free to look around and listen to the show. The shows are every two hours more or less. The whole place was very busy and congested. They have 200 alligators in different stages of life. The alligators are from local farms and then give them to nature preserves when they age out. You can get a pole and food for $5 but the gators seemed well feed. This place met our needs for "seeing" gators but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired. We came on a Monday and the place was packed which is great for business. We made our way outside and downstairs to see the various gator exhibits. The kids enjoyed looking at them. For $5.00 you can feed the baby gators. They were tiny but adorable nonetheless. Viewing the hatchlings, yearlings, and 2-5 year olds is free. There is an option to hold a yearling and take a photo for an additional charge. My friend opted for that and the photographer/ handler was very knowledgeable. The photo alligator had its snout taped shut with electrical tape but sticky side up. All the hatchlings are purchased from a farm and they are raised until about 5 years old, then they are transferred to zoos. Neat experience. I think I read somewhere that there are 100 juvenile gators! The hatchlings were cool to see. Lots of displays and info on gators. We didn't see the show and didn't eat. You could tour around for 45 min and be done. I was concerned about habitation. The alligators don't have any enrichment in their pens. Made me feel sorry that they don't have much space to swim and explore. Also the water was extremely dirty. Did see turtles swimming as well. read more

A little hard to find because it's not what you would expect. It's located in a bar/arcade type business. Signage on the building is visible, but not much from the street. Glad we stopped. While we did see alot of gators, many were small. There's displays of faux taxidermy of other animals as well. Kids will enjoy it, as well as the fact that you can graffiti on the walls of the establishment. For a fee you can feed the gators with a pole. Best part is admission is free! Viewing the alligators and watching the live educational + feeding shows is all FREE! (Shows are at noon, 2pm and 4pm with a fact or fiction game show at 6pm.) The food really wasn't impressive. Everything is fried!!! And not a yummy fried but overly fried and not impressed. We were there in December and the gators were sleeping they just go into sleep mode after thanksgiving. The little gators were cute and moving. Happy to see them at least. We went here for the gator experience. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't speak for that part of the establishment. Staff were friendly enough. They are renovating the upstairs porch area so certain areas were blocked off and the entrance to the gator area was through the emergency exit. It was a cooler day (upper 60's to low 70's) so the big gators were not active at all. They were all resting. Many other visitors were attempting to feed them with their little gator poles but none of the gators made a move or attempt to eat. They were still cool to look at though There are indoor exhibits for smaller hatchlings/yearlings and they seemed slightly more active and were fun to watch. We did see a few of the smaller gators had some possible health defects or issues. One was missing its front arm. Another was missing part of its tail. They had a medium exhibit for their 3 "magical gators" I think their names were salty, pepper, and lil sugar. But there was no sign or staff member that could tell us about them or what made them magical (I'm assuming it was their pigment). We made it just in time for one of the showings but they were having technical difficulties with thier stereo system. Instead the staff brought out one of the yearlings and allowed visitors to look/touch and ask questions. That was the most fun of the entire experience. Did we have fun? Yes. Would we got back? This place wasn't what I was expecting, but not in a bad way. It's completely free to see the gators so we parked and walked up the ramp. It took us a while to realize we could go inside to get to the other ramps. There's so many different views of the gators which is really neat. There had to be at least 20 gators if not more. I read on their website that they rescue gators from gator farms who only plan to use them for their skin. I don't know enough about caring for gators to know if they were well taken care of, but on the surface level it appeared so. There's plenty of safety precautions as well-- we felt very safe. Fun place to take the family. It takes about 20 minutes to walk through. We didn't stay for a show, but I don't think it was super necessary since we saw gators and saw people feeding them. This is a great, free, and safe place to see alligators. It's connected to a restaurant which you don't have to eat in to see them. Upon coming in, you can already see the alligators down below. The stairs go further down, but you enter through doors where the receptionist is. When you go through the doors, there's an outdoor bar and a ramp winds down getting you to see the alligators closer. You can also feed them and/or take pictures. There's also an exhibit area where there's an albino alligator. It's a cool attraction. My kids liked it too even though we were all freaked out. There's also a gift shop. It's worth going to. The website claims they keep them there for education and don't sell them but I'm not very convinced based on the visual.
