Maverik convenience stores have changed our cross-country trips. This location is no exception…read more One can rely on Maverik to be super clean with a wide selection of drinks and snacks. Kingman is a stopping point for us. One last stop before Vegas, or conversely, the first stop after LEAVING Las Vegas. Clean, quick in and out... Perfect! Open 24 hours (of course), the staff always seems friendly, prices are competitive to other convenience stores, and the drink selection... Wow! Fountain drinks I've never heard of, including the exclusive Mountain Dew Goji Berry flavor! Heck, they even have Pepsi Zero Sugar (formerly Pepsi Max) in the fountain! All with giant 52 ounce cups with big, fat red straws. Everyone will love the clean, roomy restrooms. I sometimes wonder if Maverik has someone hiding in the corner to clean after each person leaves. It's ALWAYS sparkling clean! Every time we pass through Kingman, especially heading back to Vegas, we make it a point of stopping here, and will continue to do so.

This is now "Kings Kwik Stop"…read more Guy working was really friendly and the store was clean, but this is no longer the craft beer haven it once was. No more draft beers on tap; strictly a to-go liquor store with drive-thru. There was still some beer, but fairly dismal. The craft beer selection was about 2.5 coolers (not fully stocked) with only 4 & 6-packs; no single cans. The other 4-5 beer coolers were typical 6-24 packs of Coors, Budweiser, Modelo, etc. If you're looking for hard liquor, then this is a great place to stop. If you're hoping for some craft beer gems, well those days are sadly long gone.

AVOID THIS PLACE!…read more This place operates a Chevron Gas Station. Normally, I like to use Chevron gas as its a top tier gas. When I drove up to the gas station the posted price was $4.19/gallon. This was comparable to other gas stations in the area. At the pump it jumped to $5.29/gallon using credit card. I proceeded to pump a few gallons. I went inside and asked the cashier why did it jump over a dollar. He said it only jumped $0.20/gallon going from $4.99/gallon to $5.19/gallon (cash rate). Clearly he was lying because the going rate is $4.19/gallon. If it was $4.99/gallon no one would go to this gas station when you can get it cheaper elsewhere. Very shady business practice. Didn't expect this from a Chevron gas station but at the same time these gas stations are independently operated. Beware of this gas station doing this!

I've been a customer at this gas station for years, but after this evening, I won't be coming back…read more I stopped in to grab a coffee for my teenager as a treat for a road trip we were leaving on the next morning. When I asked the woman at the counter where to find the coffee, instead of offering assistance, she immediately told me to "zip up my purse." There's a sign on the door about backpacks, but this was my personal purse--not a backpack--and I was standing at the counter asking for help, not loitering or acting suspicious. I'm a well-presented, educated woman with a decent job, and it was both insulting and condescending to be spoken to in that way. The assumption made about me was completely out of line, and her dismissive attitude when I was simply seeking help was unacceptable. When I finally found the coffee with help from another employee, the same woman started questioning my teenager about if the coffee was for her and what she needed it for. The coffee was for a road trip the next morning--not that it was any of her business. I expect better from a business I've supported for years. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes action to ensure customers are treated with the respect they deserve, without judgment or assumptions.

Fresh jerky of different meats, honey, canned jellies and stuff. We got some mushrooms to try. They offer hats and other apparel. It sits on the west side of the highway. You can't miss it, because the speed limit drops to like 25 mph going through down. We got to do some taste testing. Decided on a super moist garlic jerky. Not over powering but it did come with a sweet savory and pepper finish. Yum! The gal working the counter is super helpful and she was closing but she helped us and we didn't feel rushed. This is def a good place to stop for a leg stretch. We also got some home made peanut brittle. So good. And a I got a stick of honey. Yum! Check it out when you're driving through. We will be back!

There's free samples too and a "where are you from" pin board. The olives ended up being alright. Not something I'd go out of my way for.
