Travel alert right here in Boulder City. The crossing of the railway station is here . Probably in days of old but for today we are going to celebrate the past. The hotel Railroad Pass in across the way and a must see for the whole Vegas experience. It's a just to say, "I've been here!" Then it's off to the modern concept of being able to get all you need in one place . Are you ready to get your snack on. They have so much to offer that it's overwhelming. Choice is great and here we have the best all in one place . The value is great, but remember it's a convenience store. They even have a great selection of products that they cook to order, such as hotdogs and taquerias for eats all ready hot. Then make sure and wash it thoroughly with a slurpee. Oh the days of being a kid. Let's be one again. Regress with me. What's not to love but the adventure and story that is yet unwritten. Good gas for a fair price and clean restrooms, but two pumps weren't working…read more We first stopped at pump #18, paid, and then got stuck with a "one moment please..." screen. We waited about 5 minutes before walking inside to ask what's going on, and they told us, "oh yeah, that one's not working." Okay, but if you know it's broken, why not put up a sign like every other gas station does?? And after we mentioned it, nobody even went out to fix or mark it -- that kind of attitude just shows how little they care about customers' time. So we moved to pump #20... and surprise again -- the nozzle kept clicking off and wouldn't pump even half a tank. We had to stand there and hold it the whole time, which is fine, we're kinda used to that from Eastern Europe, but still annoying. Problems can happen anywhere, but what really matters is how management handles them. Here, they just don't seem to care at all. If you can, choose another station so you don't waste your time like we did.

This service station is well run has the company badges of Sinclair with the green dinosaur mascot. This station is privately owned and well managed. You get greeted with smiles and joy as you walk through the door. The service station is organized well with each aisle having its own unique space for the various types of snacks and confectioners. The cleanliness of the store is impressive truly. The amount of human activity that walks through the door, and how clean the floor, the glass, the organization of everything is above normal. When we got gasoline all the pumps were full all the time. It's well appreciated. The local vibes were great, we are local, but the staff did not know that. We were treated like every other guest. After we greeted and paid we went along our way. We paid our respects to the Sinclair dinosaur who needed some joy. Over next to the car wash the company offers is the Sinclair dinosaur mascot, who has made incredible smiles since the thirties. Take a moment and enjoy the dinosaur's presence. Then right out of the Twilight Zone, the manager starts saying to me as I'm leaving, "Are you gonna buy the tire?" He said it three times. As if he thought just the force of his presence will get me to comply with his demands. I told him, "No, I was just trying to get a quote on a tire, not book a flight to Paris. I told him I was 68 years old and I don't have time to wait this long for such a trivial matter." He instantly banned me from his pitiful little tire shop right there. Leaving me, in his mind, with no other means of purchasing tires for the rest of my natural life... He really ruined my life with that one! I'm guessing he doesn't have a business degree, but I do, and it's not too smart to start banning people for silly things in a town of 16,000 people with the next nearest town 20 miles away and at least four other places to buy tires in town, not including online! He actually chased me out into the parking lot and he devolved into what you say is what you are, which he was very proud to use, because that's all he's got. Then drove to the marina since I haven't visited in many years. I'm a Nevada resident since 1990 and enjoyed many aspects of the lake. Unfortunately the water level is declining and I pray for better days. The Marina was quiet on a Friday and took a walk on the bridge to the boat docks. There was a sign at the entrance of the cafe and the Friday special after 5pm was a "fish fry" for $5.95 hmmm? Interesting, so I gave it a try. Surprisingly delicious and even the little cup of coleslaw was really good. Prompt and friendly service in a cozy little cafe. Overall a good spontaneous visit to a familiar venue and I will be back more often.
