Plumbing was only thing addressed. Repeatedly requested repairs. A man broke into home, December 31, 2020, making a broken lock and safety an issue. Reported this several months ago, and still not addressed (owner made door harder to open, but would not fix lock). Stove hasn't worked properly since move-in (does not heat up to cook efficiently). Reported it last Thursday. Still not addressed. Since then, agent asked me not to email repairs, but call them in. She stated that she does not check emails often, and cited that the law does not require owners to make all repairs, and the house is "inhabitable." They will address plumbing issues, though, she stated. We like living in the home, however, dealing with this company and the owner make it stressful. Last week, when I emailed a condensed repeat list of repairs, agent called and told me the owner would be sending someone out to assess repairs. When I asked in follow-up email whom to expect, she said she did not know. When I asked Ashley to let me know when she found out, she replied, "He doesn't know exactly who he is sending, I recommend answering any phone calls you receive.  As per Jan, in regards to repairs, some of the repairs that you mentioned do not make the house uninhabitable.  This owner prefers to do his own maintenance, if there is anything that is urgent we do take care of immediately, example the plumbing you mentioned.  If he does not make contact with you in the next week or so please let our office know.  We do prefer you to call as that is a faster means of communication with our office." Have yet to hear from any representative. Saw this agent at a store, months ago. I smiled, ready with my cheery "Hi! How are you?" But before I could get it out, she looked at me icily, reached for the boy to pull him closer, and quietly kept pushing the shopping cart past in the opposite direction. When I have called or visited this office, the customer service has been icy. Personable is not a word I would associate here. In our phone conversation last week, she felt a necessity to educate me about the time difference, an unsolicited excuse for time to respond to repairs. I have traveled, am educated, and know how to tell time. An example of repeated condescension. Update: Jan called me today, same day this review posted, at 9:15 a.m. She believes that the person I encountered at the store is "mistaken identity."

We have been working on getting our house rented out and Kim Hipp has been an absolute nightmare to…read morework with. Kim has been unprepared, irresponsible, and doesn't return phone calls. Kim definitely has an "it's not my job" attitude, which is weird because listing a rental and finding tenants to live there is definitely her job. I spoke with Kim about listing my rental and she didn't post it online or put a sign in the yard until 3 weeks later. Time is money! I ended up having to create a listing to post on Craigslist and I found a tenant myself. I wouldn't recommend working with Kim, it has been beyond frustrating.

This…read morelandlord purchased this property around 4 mos prior to my deciding to move back to another city after 3 1/2 yrs of living there as a part of my job. My wife and I cleaned thuroughly prior to leaving. She did not include me on her final walk through as requested. When I called to pick up my $500 deposit she said there were some items (minor, other than normal usage issues) that did not get done. She said she would give me the entire deposit back but I had to call to find out when. Over 14 days later I received a check for $200 of the $500 deposit. Her word obviously meant nothing. The previous owners were great persons to know as landlords and would do anything for me in appreciation for being such a reliable, professional person that worked hard to keep their apt. in great condition. I'd advise to not rent from this landlord as she projected to me nothing but attitude whenever I visited with her as a tenant. I certainly wouldn't have done anything in preperation of leaving based on what the end result was. I also worked very hard to prepare the apt. for her to show 3 prospective renters that she had no concern of how to protect me from the Pandemic that was in full force at the time. She acted like it was non existent. I would not have went to the work to help her rent the apt. had I known what she had obviously planned to do to me upon leaving. I advise not renting from Cindy Chesley and if so, plan to not get your deposit back unless you get a specific checklist of expectations upon moving out and certainly take a lot of pics. I did and could probably take her to small claims court but figured why wast my time. Other than her poor treatment of me, I enjoyed my stay in N Platte while there.

The first part of our house hunting search was all virtual. DeeJay was amazing. She toured potential homes, being our eyes, ears and sometimes even our nose for us. DeeJay was honest about everything she encountered in these homes, which when you're looking at homes virtually is an absolute must. Finding our home in this insane market was challenging to say the least, but DeeJay never gave up. She didn't push us toward any home (which had been a big pet peeve of mine with previous realtors) which allowed us to find the house that was perfect for us. And she went the whole nine yards for us and the house we eventually found. In short, she was always on our side working to make our house purchase as simple and successful as possible. My family and I can not thank her enough for her time and effort. Her tact and incredible attention to detail and constant updates (DeeJay answers every single text and email promptly which I love!) were very much appreciated and helped the entire home buying process go as smoothly as possible. Her professionalism, knowledge, honesty, integrity and hard work ethics are very much appreciated and respected. We now consider DeeJay a friend/family and would highly recommend her to anyone that is searching for a new home or ready to sell their home.
