They had ALL my info for over 20 days, was told that everything looked good and that the loan would go through. I was told repeatedly throughout the entire process that I would have no problem qualifying and that getting the loan just took some time. I made it explicitly clear that I had to close on the house by Dec. 29 as I had to be completely moved out of my current residence by Dec. 31. They assured me that would not be a problem. Wow, how far from the truth this turned out to be. I was told that the underwriter had it on their desk and would have a final answer within 48 hours after they had already had all my info for 2 weeks. That 48 hours window turned into 2 weeks - phone calls were not returned for 1-2 days and anytime I was told I would have an answer that day, I would not get a response and the next day it would be pushed back again. I received a final phone call yesterday saying that they denied it and with no valid reason that they could give. Now, not only have I lost a house, I've also lost a considerable chunk of money that I was out for option money, earnest money, and inspection, and now have less than 2 weeks to try and find a place to live due to them telling me one thing and then doing a complete 180. SUPREME LENDING DRAGS THEIR FEET AND LIES! DO NOT USE THEM!

The most frustrating part was not my credit score itself, but the lack of proactive guidance. Before my mortgage application, I believed my credit score was much higher than it actually was. Once my credit was pulled, it became clear that there was a significant gap between my expectations and reality. However, I was never proactively informed about the situation, its impact on my mortgage options, or potential remedies that might have been available. I later learned about rapid rescore through my own research rather than from my lender. Given my credit profile, this was something I believe should at least have been discussed. Instead, I remained unaware of important information that could have affected my decisions during a very time-sensitive period. When I later reached out with questions, I did not feel supported or educated as a first-time borrower. Conversations often felt rushed and dismissive, and I was repeatedly told that I could simply refinance later. While refinancing may be an option in the future, it is not free, effortless, or a substitute for helping borrowers understand all available options before closing. As a first-time homebuyer, I expected more proactive communication, guidance, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
