Worship is incredible. Some of the greeters have said things to my husband and I that were strange.

Ask the Community - Gateway Community Church

How interracial is this church? We are white and black and would like a mixed race congregation.

no problem whatsoever - doesn't matter what color you are - come on in

Does this church accept gays? I'm looking for a church where my partner and I can focus on continuing our individual relationships with Jesus! If you're gonna be rude and preach about homosexuality while eating your bacon, move on.

I guess you haven't read romans that would be Jesus answer

Grateful for Pastor Brad who reflects Jesus so naturally. His leadership is 1 of the reasons the…read morechurch has grown so beautifully. I love how he stands by the entrance both at the beginning and at the end of the service, making time for people in such a personal way. Today after 12:15pm service, my father and I were waiting to greet him. I dreamed about him last night, so it felt important to at least shake his hand, introduce him to my dad who is visiting from out of country. Pastor Brad was in conversation with someone else, and because of his kindness and desire not to be rude, he continued to give them his full attention. My dad grew a little impatient, and we were about to leave, but just as we were walking away, Pastor Brad noticed us and called out with such warmth: "Hey!" He greeted us so genuinely, as though he had been aware of us the whole time. That moment carried such light, humility, & thoughtfulness- it reminded me of how Jesus notices people, even in the smallest details. It may seem simple, but it meant a lot to me and my father. Pastor Brad's example is a true reflection of Christ's heart. The worship here is my fav. It's powerful, uplifting, Spirit-filled. I've also been deeply blessed by the Freedom Group. Although I haven't quite found close community yet, I still love attending service because of the worship, the Word, and Pastor Brad's Christ-centered leadership. Such a great welcoming team and praise God for the parking team.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding My Treatment at the Church…read more Dear Church Leadership, My name is Daphne, and I am writing to express my concern about how I was treated during a recent church service. I have been working hard to change my life after struggling with drugs and making choices that were harmful to me. Coming to this church has been an important part of my journey, and I truly felt that I had been saved and welcomed into a new life. However, I felt confused, embarrassed, and hurt when I was first directed to go to the back of the line and later told to go to the front. Because this is a large church, I understand that there may have been procedures or misunderstandings, but the way the situation was handled made me feel singled out and unwelcome. I am asking that church leadership review what happened and explain why I was treated this way. I hope the church can handle situations like this with kindness, clarity, and respect--especially toward people who are trying to change their lives and find support through faith. I would appreciate a response and the opportunity to discuss this matter privately. Sincerely, **Daphne**

My wife and I had been searching for a church in Austin for quite some time. We started going to…read moreHill Country Bible Church and enjoyed it for a while. However, we did not feel the sense of community and truth we were looking for. We then found Austin Ridge Bible church. From the first sermon we were very pleased about what we saw and heard. Brad and his team put a lot of effort into every detail of the sermons, the themes, the programs, and everything in between. Personally, I crave the sermons here. I did not grow up in the church, so I still have a lot to learn about the bible, and that is exactly what they teach. Every theme, life lesson, philosophy and idea is based upon teachings from the bible and nothing else. They are committed to staying focused on this notion. BEWARE OF "CHURCHES" THAT DO NOT USE OR READ OUT OF THE BIBLE. Furthermore, this church does a lot for people in and outside the community. They even help people internationally. This church's main focus is not about making people feel good... rather, its an active group of people that are devoted to becoming closer to Jesus through the truth of the bible. They are about action in getting out into the world and making a first-hand difference. Nothing is sugar-coated here. This results in a life-changing experience that actually helps people grow in a real way. In summary, Austin Ridge Bible Church has had a huge impact on my life and spiritual growth. I recommend that anyone who is searching for more meaning to life or for the next step in their walk with God start here. If Yelp had an infinite star choice I'd select it!

I have recently found Christ again after many decades of indifference. I was never a non believer…read morebut rather a passive Christian. Due to the state of the world, I decided to start going to church and formally introduce my children to God. I can not express the love and happiness I feel when I enter that auditorium and hear the music and see the people all praying and singing in unison. My heart vibrates on a different level and I truly feel so close to God and Jesus. I have been attending Sunday sermon and I actually look forward to going to church again. I am a better person to myself and to others for the renewed love I have for God and people. This kind of love I never felt in my Catholic school and church. The message is dynamic and based off the bible, but easily applies to everyday life. My children have attended the kid's church and last week went into the adult section and they absolutely loved it and accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior without hesitation. What an amazing feeling I had as a parent to witness this. City Reach Church is HIGHLY recommended if you want to have a close relationship with God. What an amazing experience this far!!

We've both grown up in…read moreChristian families and were in a season of life where we were looking to be spiritually challenged. Thankfully, a good friend of ours recommended City Reach; and after checking out the church over a couple of Sundays, we made our choice. We enjoyed and continue to be delighted by the friendliness of the church member community here. The parking team does a wonderful job each Sunday to make sure we find a parking spot, and they have a shuttle that brings us to the entrance. Drip coffee and hot tea are provided if you'd like to enjoy a hot beverage while worshipping and listening to the sermon. The worship teams are truly in the spirit and sing in the name of Jesus. The worship sets are powerful and we can feel the Holy Spirit moving within us, and we see how others around us have been impacted as well. The pastor is unapologetic in preaching what is written in the Bible. He doesn't add fluff but stays true to the Word. His expository style is appreciated as he highlights the main ideas while calling out key points. They also have a children's program, from infants through high school. Their new campus is beautiful and has several parking lots to choose from. There is also overflow parking available with a shuttle provided. City Reach Church isn't charismatic nor is it traditional (we've been to both kinds in the past), it's actually fun and we look forward to going each Sunday! The style here is unique, though it's not necessarily for everyone. If you're curious to learn what a relationship with Jesus looks like, are new in your walk with Jesus, or if you're looking for a new church home, we highly recommend giving City Reach a try!
