My daughter had the Margarita pizza and it was yummy according to her, I had their Bruschetta and it was as it should be, acidic and with flavor. My husband had their lasagna and it was superb. My friend ordered their shrimp scampi and we were surprised to see they had real prawns. The only reason I don't have pictures is bc I'm pregnant and when I see something and smell something great I just dig in.

The calamari tasted phenomenal, as did the prosciutto. The steak was covered in gravy sauce, but the steak itself was not as good in flavor nor texture. "Dinner for two", which also included a soda, bottle of water, a tiramisu and cappuccino costed 72€, plus my voluntary tip. I probably wouldn't have tipped if I knew what was about to happen. (I always tip generously at restaurants, except when the waitstaff treats us cheaply.) We overall enjoyed our experience at the table as a group until the end when the waiter tried to charge one of the couples in our group for additional items which they did not order. It seems as if somebody else's meal had not been paid and our friends were being pressured to pay it. During the meal, we were pleased and everyone thought it was a good place for special dinners, but after the problem with the check, we all changed our minds. The waiter had the audacity to tell one of the ladies in our group that paying it would not make you poor. He's right, but we're also not stupid. What an insult. So from a 4.5 star experience, with the 1 star treatment in the end, they get a very generous 3-star. (Only a sincere apology from the owner to our group would change my rating to 4.)

This was my first real German meal here and I gotta say it wasn't easy simply because nobody spoke English to us. After looking confused at the menu, the waitress brought me an English menu. Phew!!! I started off with the pancake soup. This was a good salty broth with lots of green onions and egg like pancake strips. The Asian in me desperately wanted a bowl of rice to mix into the soup! Only 3 euros and well worth it on a cold day. Bierstadels home made pan: two large pieces of thick pork seared perfectly! A cream mushroom sauce bathed in it. There's no ordinary water here, only sparking water with a small slice of lemon. There's a Biergarten outside so of course, a huge array of beer. First of all, the meat was perfectly cooked, the gravy complementary to the meal as a whole. The plate contained a small bit of greens, mushroom and other bits. The flavor was fantastic and throughly enjoyed. My mother used to make spaetzle and his were every bit the part. I almost forgot they started with a nice salad, some of which I would not normally eat but the dressing was very good. I actually walked into the kitchen to thank him for such a great closing meal!
