Our waiter was an older gentlemen who spoke very little English and made zero effort to help us with the menu. The menu was entirely in German and we had no service to translate anything so I just picked the Wienerschnitzel and my girlfriend ordered a vegetarian ravioli. Both dishes came out relatively fast and looked great. My schnitzel was very tasty and fresh while my girlfriends ravioli was extremely flavorful. We ordered the Oktoberfest beer since we couldn't really read or tell what the other beers were. The Oktoberfest beer was very light, almost like a coors light lol the weissbier is where it's at. Highly recommend getting the weissbier at any and all restaurants as it is the stronger and more flavorful selection. Later in the evening a younger girl asked us if we needed anything and spoke English, she also helped us with ordering other drinks and even called us a cab since we had no service to use Uber. I wish she was our original server and was a little annoyed he did not even ask her to help us in the first place. He also did not give me my change trying to take advantage of the fact that Americans tip, and in Germany the tip is included. I didn't want to make a big deal over 5 more euros but pretty rude. This would be the main reason for only 3 stars. Other than that it was a cool experience and beautiful beer garden for outside seating.

The food took a while to arrive to our table. The pumpkin curry soup with wasabi foam was excellent (no pic). The curry was not overpowering and blended evenly with the other herbs and spices. Flavor-wise, it was the best pumpkin soup I had in Germany. The risotto was prepared very well. It was not mushy, or hard, and was flavorful, not bland. The pasta dishes were very good too. Overall, the restaurant is conveniently located near the palace. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend giving this restaurant a try.

The day we visited, it also served as a nice holdover from the rain while we waited for the bus to pick us up. The interior is quaint and cozy, with wood paneling and dim light fixtures. The menu had much of the standard Bavarian fare, which worked out as we were able to order some shared plates (charcuterie board, pretzel, strussel, and some beers). Overall it was a nice place to spend an hour outside of the rain, even though it was a bit pricey.
