Last Sunday, I had a really great birthday dinner at Mamma Mia resto in Kirchheim Teck. I have had…read morelunch here at their outdoor area, but never a complete dinner inside. We were not disappointed. In fact, it was really awesome.
We had a hard time choosing our entrees, because the menu is quite large, offering pasta dishes (pasta made on premises), meat, fish as well as the obligatory pizza. Note: my meal was ordered from their daily handwritten menu board.
We shared a bruschetta, which was nicely garlicky with tomatoes that had a great taste. This was followed by a simple green salad with a light oil/vinegar dressing and freshly baked bread (part of the meal).
For entrees, the hubby had Saltimbocca alla Romana - and he loved it. And he knows his Saltimbocca. I ordered a Seezunge (sole) in a white wine sauce with potatoes and seasonal veg. My fish was heavenly! The waiter even offered to filet it for me, but I managed just fine.
After our great meal, we couldn't pass up dessert - Panna Cotta, which was also very creamy and yummy. Our dinner was rounded out with a dry Verdicchio (white Italian wine) and expresso.
Including tip, our meal was 80€.
Definitely will do dinner here again, rather than just a quick lunch outside.
