    Meat Counter

After living in Far East Russia for the last six years, we were delighted to find this market to help ease 'homesickness pangs' upon our return to the US. Upon entry, we felt immediately at home and were happy to hear and use our Russian with other customers and the staff. Upon the shelves we have found our favorite tea, fresh smetana, handmade pelmeni, rye flour, oat biscuits, familiar sweets and chocolates, even Uncle Vanya brand pickles! The prices seem very reasonable and it is clear that to me that much time is spent on curating stock. And, yes, you may need to step past an open box during stocking and it can be tight quarters but the warmth we have experienced on our shopping trips there counters out those minor inconveniences. I am headed there again today to see what surprises await me on the shelves!

We love this store especially their bread and meat offerings. But you can find any European foods here, always well stocked!

So glad this place was recommended to me! A total gem in every which way. Service was incredible,…read morethey were patient and very knowledgeable about their products as I asked for recommendations. I ended up getting quiche for myself, pepperoni pizza for my wife as well as a plain croissant, chocolate pistachio croissant and maple cinnamon bun. The quiche was just okay in my opinion but everything else was stand out. My wife loved the pizza and the homemade ranch is AMAZING. The chocolate pistachio croissant was tasty, very flakey. The cinnamon bun was also very good but the frosting was a bit sweeter for my taste. A must visit if you're considering a solid bakery!

GetRight's Bakery doesn't need more hype, but it absolutely lives up to it…read more My girlfriend and I stopped in on a whim this past weekend while checking out a few spots in the area. I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

Olde Town Arvada is way off my usual stomping grounds, so although I had read quite a bit about…read morethis shop over the years, I had never visited. We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.

The cake was the perfect level of sweetness and packed with flavor from carrots, walnuts, raisins, and spices (and I'm sure much more). Usually I am not a big fan of layer cakes because of all of the icing but it was just enough, a great consistency, and completely complimented the flavor of the cake. I also loved the simple decorations on the top! A friend of mine picked up the cake and he and my boyfriend said that from start to finish Mark was great to work with. I should note that my boyfriend lives in Austin, TX so it means even more to me that the process went so smoothly. Thanks Meraki! I should also mention that after transportation to a few different locations and 3 days of sitting in my fridge, the cake is still sooo delicious! I took the inside cake picture after all of that too.

I bought a raspberry mousse and attempted to eat it and the first bite tasted like it had been sitting next to meat in a refrigerator for days. The mousse itself left a waxy coating on my tongue. The icing shell did the same. The Mille-Feuille was over cooked and had old whipped cream inside and on top. The waxy coating of the tongue occurred there too. The strawberry atop the dessert was so old I believe it would have been an issue for the health department. I couldn't eat or drink any of it. I am appalled by what they sold me. This place charges quite a bit for the trash they serve up. AVOID. The owner accused me of lying after I wrote the above review on google. Instead of apologizing for the $50 I essentially set on fire, they denied and lied. Makes me question the legitimacy of the positive reviews. Then denied they use syrup in their lemonade? Not sure about you but have "natural" ingredients ever turned your juice bright red without any pulp? To the owner: Precisely! Why would I write a lie?
