Let me begin by saying this place is not very expensive to stay at so, please take that into…read moreconsideration in my review. We stayed here for a weekend and I found this place online and contacted the place and booking was pretty straightforward. The photos looked nice so I was hoping for a good lakeside country accommodation. The view here is excellent and it's right in Walchensee right by the lake (mind you most of this place is by the lake). The room was not ready and the bed did not get made till about 6pm as they had no sheets. The bed itself was terrible and I ended up with a bad back both nights. The rooms are dated and the decor has been thrown together randomly. Breakfast is ok and whilst limited quite alright. The restaurant however is very ordinary and the dinner we had here the first night was bland and tasteless. I would have to say its the worst meal since we arrived in Munich. Don't have items on the menu you cannot cook well. The saving grace at dinner was dessert and I have to say the Kaiserschmarrm was quite good and tasty. At, €70 for a night including breakfast for two is quite reasonable but, the quality is very poor and I would not come back here again. There was nothing in the room besides towels (no soap no nothing). Also note that this place is cash only and the only cash machine in the village is expensive for cash withdrawals :-)
