The best thing about this place is the location, so if you manage to go there when it's sunny, even better. Then you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake. The food is very Bavarian and fresh. I great place to go to enjoy real food. Although I'm not really a meat eater, I suggest choosing meat rather than fish. On the appetizers, the Blutwurst was definitely a big surprise. Try not to get too full, as the cakes they have there are a dream! All in all, be prepared for a good meal. Small tip: They have this aperitif drink with champagne, mango and vanilla. Don't choose it. It's not worth the 15€. Trust me here. read more

Leider können wir die positive Meinung der "Vorschreiber" überhaupt nicht teilen. Wir haben einen Prosecco vorab bestellt, der leider sehr flach schmeckte. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir einen Saibling und Tortellini mit Pfifferlingfüllung. Der Saibling schmeckte nach gar nichts, nicht gewürztz, keine Kräuter, nichts. Die dazu gebrachten ganzen drei Petersilienkartoffeln waren offensichtlich warm gemacht und schmeckten ebenfalls nach nichts. 19 EUR für diese fade, überschaubare Portion waren einfach zu viel, weitere Beilagen dazu gab es nicht. Für die Tortellini (acht Stück!!!!) als Hauptspeise wurden uns schlanke 22 EUR berechnet. Die sachlich geäußerte Kritik ist leider bei der Kellnerin überhaupt nicht angekommen. In einem Restaurant dieser Klasse hätte ich eine souveräne Haltung erwartet und nicht fast schon freche Ignoranz. Bleibt also zusammenfassend zu sagen, dass das Preis- Leisungsverhältnis sehr schlecht war und die Speisen geschmacklich das Preisniveau in keiner Weise rechtfertigen. read more

War am Sonntag Abend wieder im Freihaus Brenner, hatte mich schon darauf gefreut in tollem Ambiente schön bayerisch zu essen (Rinderbrühe mit dreierlei Einlagen, Schweinsbraten in Biersauce mit Knödel und Krautsalat hmmm!!!) und ich wudre nicht enttäuscht. Obwohl ich alleine dort war, bekam ich einen sehr schönen Tisch und wurde vom Service richtig nett verwöhnt. Ich LIEBE das Freihaus und kann es nur allen wegen der Qualität des Essens, wegen des Top Service und des traumhaft schönen Ausblick auf den Tegernsee empfehlen. Wir hatten einen Weihnachtscocktail Prosecco mit Gewürzpflaume vorab bestellt, der leider sehr flach schmeckte. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir rosa gebratene Rehlende an Schokoladen-Ingwersoße glasierte Möhrchen, Maroni und Mandelbällchen. Die Rehlende war auf den Punkt, aber leider nicht ausreichend gewürzt.
