The patty seemed to be a mix of beans and beets with some kind of sweet sauce. It was very tasty. The fries were the standard fried frozen fries, not bad but not great. I did notice that everyone in the restaurant was eating their food with knife and fork. I must have been the animal American picking it up with my hands.

The menu seems to be a modern take on traditional German foods. And, as late May is in the midst of asparagus season in Germany (a big deal!), I ordered the White Asparagus with Ham & Potatoes with Hollandaise Sauce. This was a surprisingly satisfying dish and was topped off with their Café Bastei dessert sampler. A very nice restaurant, but a little bit of a challenge to get to if you're taking public transportation from Cologne like I did. :-) Thank goodness for Google Maps!
