They didn't inform me that there was a cash only policy for one beer. It wasn't until after I drank my beer that the blonde woman working there informed me I had to pay in cash. I told her that was impossible because I had no way of getting cash. Wouldn't you know it, I had to buy 2 more beers to-go if I wanted to pay by card. So I was forced to buy 2 beers to-go because they want to hide their earnings. I was not notified before hand that I had to pay in cash even though the blonde woman told me there were signs everywhere indicating so. Apparently you can't have a beer at this bar unless you pay cash. Avoid this trap like the plague. They are dishonest and predatory.

I ordered the spaetzle and it said turkey mushroom sauce. I don't think the meat was turkey, but beef or pork. Whatever it was, it was really delicious. The portion was huge and I recommend if you order it, you share the meal with another person. My husband thought the schnitzel was ok, but my son really loved it. I enjoyed the potato salad on his plate. Really good balance of vinnegar, salt and sweet. His schnitzel meal came with a a basic side salad. My son ordered creamy tomato soup and bread, which he really enjoyed. He told me it tasted like homemade food and I agreed. Note that this place only has three tables inside and there are a few tables outside. It was raining, so it was a nice warm spot to enjoy a comfort food meal. The prices were really good for the location near the attractions.

There's also wine and schnapps available. The decor has a witch/fall/halloween theme, and there's an unusual display of mannequins above and behind the central island bar up where the bathrooms are. It's not much to see but it's something to look at. Inside it's very cozy, and tight, but there's also some outdoor seating. My wife and I enjoyed it as a quick stop for a beer before venturing on, and it was clear that it's also popular with the locals as well.
