I had an excellent plumber named Jim the next morning. He fixed the problem by cutting the pipe and installing a new piece of pipe. He did this in just less than an hour. The only reason I hesitate to give them a great review is I don't want them to get so many customers that they can't give me this kind of excellent service going forward. Of course I am going to give them a great review anyway. The price for the service seemed quite fair.

In fact, one time we called him about an issue and instead of trying to get us to pay him quite a bit for a service, he told us we would be better off purchasing a certain thing and doing the repair on our own. He is really responsive when you call for appointments and can usually fit you in fairly quickly. His work was efficient and he made sure that everything he brought in used and the area he worked in were spotless before he left. We have had zero issues with any of the work he has done for us. I highly recommend him if you need a plumber in the Monroeville area/

Months of a no flush toilet. When I balked at the high cost of the toilet installation (It's WAY out of range), Brett told me if I couldn't afford it, then that's when I should sell my blood plasma. A plumber telling a customer to sell her blood to afford his cheap nonworking toilet. Let that flush through your mind before you call Brett. Recently, after many months, I finally replaced it. A Gerber toilet. Strong. Flushes every time. Aren't toilets supposed to do that? It cost half of what Brett charged. A Gerber is more expensive than an American Standard. How is that possible? It's possible when a service provider cares about customers, is honest, and kind, and won't look for an opportunity to take advantage of someone who can least afford to be taken advantage of. $807 for a faulty toilet. And an abominable insulting plumber.

Yet this fake company's location is about 3 blocks from the job. Vince came the next day after calling about a problem caused by another plumber (that initiated the project) and efficiently fixed the problem. Scheduling a follow up appointment to finish the job of installing the external gas line to the pool heater was longer than we thought as we had an 18 inch trench dug for him for over 2 weeks (he suggested digging it to save $450). However, he eventually returned and did a solid job! Our heater is up & running and the water feels great!

While my attorney found this quite hilarious, I'm horrified that some people might actually retract their reviews after receiving such a threat. Horrible business practice. Vince, if you don't want people to write bad reviews online, try being a more ethical businessman and don't threaten people. My original review that he threatened to sue me over is below: ---------------------------------------------------------- Knowledgeable plumber and it seems like he charges fair prices, BUT be warned, he may lose his temper and THREATEN YOU if you do not take his advice or go with his service. When I chose not to use his services, I told him I would GLADLY pay the service fee (which is $90) for him coming out to assess the problem. Then, he angrily responded that I was jerking his chain and complained about me calling him in church (even though I had no idea he was in church at the time - he did not give me his personal schedule). He also threatened to send the bill to collection agency if I did not pay, BEFORE he even sent the bill to me. His exact words were "I'm not threatening you, but I will send the bill to collection agency if you do not pay." Um sorry, but that's still a threat even if you prefaced it with "I'm not threatening you" lol. What kind of business owner does that? I paid you a fair price for your time. There was no need to make personal attacks and threaten to send to collection agency. Also, his website is dishonest by only accepting reviews of people who rate him positively (hence why I came to Yelp and Google reviews).

He managed a bathroom renovation for us when another contractor fell through due to a dispute. He went the extra mile to do some carpentry projects for us even though plumbing is his main line of work. We've used him to install faucets, fix leaks, clear out sewage lines, and other tasks. We trusted him to be an honest guy. When we came back, the disposal was installed and looked good; but he still had 1 job to complete (installing a tile backsplash ). In the meantime, our air conditioning system had a malfunction; we called the workman and ended up paying $86 for the house call. It turns out that Greg had turned off the circuit breaker for our air conditioner when he was installing the garbage disposal and failed to turn it back on. Since we were out of town, there is no other explanation. It created the malfunction, so we asked him to credit us the amount. He agreed to split it with us, but at the end of the tile job he added another expense without discussing it with us (reinstalling the outlets and a switch that were upgraded due to the tile job) and failed to pay us anything toward the A/C mistake he had made. Also, he takes multiple cigarette breaks and smells very bad...like nicotine and stale tobacco smoke...when in your home. The smell lingers even after he leaves. Regrettably, I will no longer be doing business with him for these reasons and cannot recommend his company.
