We suspected the ignitor was not working. They told us we had an incorrect filter and replaced it for $130 ish. I didn;t believe it because that filter had been in there for a year and we never had an issue. After the service call, the Furnace still continued to kick on and off and couldn't keep the house at temp, so we called again in March. Surprise, it was the ignitor. They replaced it. I never received an invoice for the second visit, so I called a couple times to see what the charge was. Finally received the invoice in May. It was another $265!! I called to discuss the charges and explain that it was never fixed the first time and was talked down to repeatedly by the rude manager. He said, "what so you think you're a furnace expert?!?" Obviously, he is not an expert either. I've waited a few weeks for a call back from the owners, but nothing yet. Just paid the invoice but will never use them again or recommend them. Rude and inept.

They spent the extra time to make it not only code worthy, but make sure it wouldn't back fill with snow. Over the years (decades) our electric dryers have never been very efficient at drying. I recently discovered that the original (mid-1970's) venting design was dangerous - 3" spiral flexible plastic running inside an interior wall, through the attic and hanging under a roof vent by a piece of wire. Recently, after noticing that the dangling hose had dropped down from the attic ceiling, I discovered it was mostly brittle and falling apart, even inside the wall space.
