This is an old Atlantic Coast Line station that has been restored. It is staffed 24/7 with…read more(currently) eight trains stopping each day (four north, four south). Waiting room has wood benches with armrests so you can't really lie down on them. Has some vending machines and a small eatery inside (restaurant is NOT 24 hrs). Nice to have a heated and air conditioned station vs a bench with an awning over it which sadly seems to be more of the norm these days. There is some parking, a few spaces between the train station and bus station, and another lot on the other side of the station. Lots are well lit but the area is fairly quiet at night so avoid leaving things out in view if you're leaving your car there while you're traveling.

While driving, it was jerking and did not feel safe to use. She returned to the business to request a replacement vehicle or a refund, but both were refused. We were also given conflicting information about whether they actually provide rental vehicles, even though there are signs indicating that they do. At this time, we are still trying to resolve the situation. I'm sharing this as a customer experience for others to be aware of and to decide for themselves.

The wedding was outside. It was extremely hot last Saturday. I got overheated and had to leave. I felt like I was going to pass out. I wasn't the only guest to leave. We are fortunate there wasn't a medical emergency. I realize the couple picked the place. Nobody could predict it would get that hot. I recommend you issue fans or use another means of coping with the temperature in the future. I heard the people who stayed had a good time later that evening.

First of all, the property is stunning. There are multiple options for ceremony sites and reception sites to accommodate everything from an intimate wedding ceremony to a 150+ person wedding. Shayla and Josh, the owners, take great care with their brides and grooms, and have done a great job of creating an affordable and accessible all-in-one venue. The Something Borrowed collection was a huge perk, having access to thousands of decor items at no added cost. I would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a beautiful place to get married!

We had not seen Jim play with this band. It was a timely Valentine's show with a perfect array of popular, if not anthem, love tunes from the 40s up through the 70s. I have to admit that being a fan of Rocky Mount's Tar River Swing Band, I was surprised, if not amazed, at the musical renderings o The Moonlighters played to a receptive and appreciative audience at the Rudy. Their selections were performed extremely well, and the abundant solos were better than special, I'd say spectacular. And Moonlight's chanteuse, Karen Barringer, was absolutely astonishing with her runs and vibrato. She's a singer! And she amazed and delighted the packed house.
