So while I was on the island I heard multiple people telling me about Gary's bakery. But my schedule was really packed and I didn't think I could fit it into the list. Lucky for me. The guys who were driving me around said we're stopping at Gary's bakery. Honestly, if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't know what it was. It did not look like any bakery I had ever been to before, but was super excited to walk in and see what they had. The place is not flashy, nor does it look like one of those over the top French bakeries. Bakeries. It is neat and clean, and well organized. Everything is laid out for you to see and everything looked amazing. In St. Croix, if you know this place, you know the Hot ticket are the tarts. Pineapple, coconut, guava, mango, the list goes on and on. Let me put it to you. Way, you would be hard-pressed to not like anything behind the glass case. Bottom line? If you are in the island and you don't go to Gary's bakery, You are truly missing out on a national treasure. Do yourself a favor and go there today! read more

They did not have any breakfast sandwiches! I thought on Google it said they did, but alas, it is only pastries. Their sticky raisin buns (almost no raisins, just sweet, which was perfect) were amazing! Their homemade bear claws were great! Everything was about $2 a piece. I was recommended this place for their bush tea and coconut pastry, but ended up with a bunch of other stuff instead. Parking is a bit tricky, but just pull right in front and it will only take a few minutes to order and pay. They were pretty nice. read more

Not a fan. Sorry .. I've bought several pastries; apple turnovers, Apple strudels, guava, coconut, raisin bread.. it's very doughy and not enough flavor or sweetening. I feel like dipping these pastries in a jar of jam just to get my fill. I gave it away to the ladies at the hotel. read more

Delicious cinnamon rolls. Plain interior. No seating. No air this morning, either. Hot while waiting, but the waiting was my fault, trying to decide what to order. The tarts and doughnuts also looked amazing. We paid only $1.90 for a huge cinnamon roll (8" across) and a scone. Compared to the usual prices on St. Croix, this was amazing. Trekked through a downpour to get here based on Yelp reviews. So good we'd do it again! Got a couple of Pates for lunch, they were good. The stand outs were the sweets. We got a guava tart, a pineapple tart and a coconut roll, and we wished we'd gotten more. Nice and fresh treat, made the old fashioned way. Go there! read more

The raisin bun was moist with great flavor. I ate the large size raisin bun. The bread was very fresh. I enjoyed every bite. I want to eat one every day. They have perfected raisin bread. The server was very polite. She patiently took my order. read more

My husband and I stumbled across this off the beaten path bakery and were pleasantly delighted! Gary's Bakery has the most delicious baked goods from coconut and raisin pastries to their guava roll, cinnamon rolls, homemade bread and many other items. All were melt in your mouth delicious! This bakery sits off the boardwalk on a little side street and does not have a sign but it is well worth finding and picking up as many fresh baked goods as you can! We bought 3 very large pastries and it only cost $4.00! Customer service was great and we couldn't ask for a better experience! read more

We saw the sign and stopped to check it out Great little bakery in downtown C-sted. Tried the sweet rolls and the cherry strudel, both were fresh and good. Best to get there early as items run out and I believe they close early. Wish that we could have stopped several more times ; ( Not much parking , have to double park and run in, St. Croix car rating index high. read more

coconut roll is amazing, bread was served warm, green coconut cookie is very sugary and yummy! pretty much anything is amazing... except the parking. Made my Dad a bit nervous getting in and out of the lot, the next time we went he parked in the street and was approached by a very aggressive beggar. We have yet to find a sign telling us we are at Gary's, so look out for the picture of the building. read more

As a Virgin Islander having the opportunity travel back home for a work assignment, I was truly delighted to have local bake goods during my stay. I enjoyed having Gary's bush tea, pates, and oatmeal. I also had the raisin roll, coconut drops, and breakfast sandwich. Best bread on the island! Flour Don makes a good tittie bread that even the St. Thomians beg us to send over or demand to go there for some whenever they're on island. Early opening h. Tittie bread is done by 10/11 am, so go early!!! read more
