An expensive proposition, but Tubbies does not charge straight retail so the prices are pretty good. After about a year the surface on the table delaminated. They replaced it immediately, no questions asked. Now, 13 years later the springs on the chairs have gotten tired. I pretty much was resigned to spending a bundle on new chairs, but Bill the boss said we could order the parts. Amazing. A month later the parts came, an easy fix, and now when we sit in the chairs we aren't always looking at the sky. This is a serious place with terrific service as well as a mind-blowing inventory. We purchased a Big Green Egg from them last year, and they came all the way out in the country and assembled it for $50. What a bargain. If you want a place that stands behind their products, this is the place. Otherwise go to some box store and throw your stuff away after a few years when something goes wrong. As an aside, the owner of Tubbies also has a mattress place down the hill where we have purchased a TempurPedic mattress, and they were great to deal with. He also owns Klaban's, a local high-end furniture store with great prices that we have frequented, happily. Finally, not only did Bill the boss order the parts for our Tropitone chairs, but it turns out they were free! He found out that the chairs had a 15 year warranty. Amazing.

As you can see, their completed work wasn't completed according to code inspection. they didn't get a permit until after they finished the work and then tried to blame me for not getting a permit when it was their job then they put an invoice for the materials that they were supposed to cover then blamed me then I didn't pay for the materials. Here's what the person who came to fix it and do it correctly charged... Six grand versus 450 be careful they will end up in court line under oath.

Loading the truck: 9/10. Packing: 1/10, terrible. (Company sent completely untrained packers, they'd never packed before. They were trying, but didn't even know to put paper fill on the bottom or top of boxes, they were putting glasses sideways with heavier dishes on top, the works. I ended up largely packing myself.) Unloading: 7/10. (Several boxes were marked "top only," but they put in the boxes any which way so the labels weren't visible, and started stacking some boxes on "top only" ones. However, once I mentioned it, they did follow my instructions from then on. I think they were just inexperienced.) Ease of scheduling/availability: 10/10. (They were available same day.) I will say, this was an urgent job, so I knew to have lower expectations. But it's going too far for the company to send out packers with zero training for the job.

I offered them anything they might have wanted but they said no but in order to do this, we HAVE TO RENT A U-HAUL! i GAVE THE YOUNG MEN $300 IN CASH AND THEN THE OWNER, CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $467 MORE DOLLARS FOR THE RENTAL U-HAUL! He does not have a truck for moving, but simply for his tools. Do NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH HIM BY PHONE. MAKE HIM GIVE YOU EVERYTHING IN WRITING - IT IS THE ONLY WAS I WAS REFUNDED THE $467 ON MY CREDIT CARD. SAD!
