Well, I highly do, and afterwards questioned why I even got the test in the first place, never mind the fact that I needed it to register for college class(es). So the fact that Sesame's needles here are honestly so very relaxing is a huge deal. This is a long overdue review I am sure because HOW can I put into words something that is just TOO amazing even for words like amazing! Get what I'm saying? It's BEYOND amazing, BEYOND wonderful; yes, healing, but you cannot fathom the EXTENT and TYPE of healing until you experience it. And by "it" I mean the absolutely warm, wonderful, beautiful Sesame Unlu's out-of-this-world treatments. I cannot emphasize enough just how lovely and pleasant of a person she is! I am sure maybe others feel the same way about writing a review here because HOW can you get across just HOW good!!! Anyone who does not go to Sesame is totally missing out big time. Whenever another person whom I care about comes into my life, I instantly think, this person should go to Sesame for even more care and healing. And Yelp needs to fix their algorithm because all nineteen five-star reviews that got filtered out are 100% true. I just skimmed through them and was like "yep, yes, true, true, spot-on" to each detail. I think just how good Sesame is defies their algorithm! I first went to Sesame four years ago. I probably just googled Maui and acupuncture? I had already gone to FOUR other acupuncturists, three of them which hurt pretty badly, and one that didn't and I got pretty good healing treatments from, but the energy was off! One time when I merely asked this OTHER acupuncturist early in the day if he has openings for an appointment that day, he immediately went OFF on me, and literally said madly, among other things, his "dogs are not going to feed themselves!" Direct quote. And my car accident insurance was paying him well! What IS that???? He could have just simply said, "sorry, I don't have any openings today." (I had another similar, yet even crazier happening yesterday from the owner of a massage place, which I believe also offers acupuncture, so I want to list the name here and will soon, so other people can avoid, but it was so insane that I am still in shock from it and processing, and Sesame was there for me in support!!!) I am grateful every day to this day that I found Sesame. She is ALWAYS professional, yet warm, and seems to have ZERO stress?!?! in all of your interactions with her and when you go in to get a treatment with her. She doesn't let insurance stress her even. She's literally like, "eh" like no big deal at all, which is definitely the attitude you need to have and feel and believe about insurance. If you don't let it phase you then it won't, people!!!!!! If you let it get to you, you will be a miserable wreck, like the above mentioned massage/acupuncture place owner I literally have a saved cursing voicemail from!!! I know because I have done lots of medical billing over many years myself, and my dad is originally a general surgeon and has been a chiropractor for 22 years now!!!! Back to Sesame's treatments: You enter an absolute calm sanctuary from the outside world with nothing that could ever disturb it and see Sesame's always smiling happy warm self. You have one hour that there are no excuses for you NOT to relax. No devices. No work. Nothing. You have no choice but to relax and take this time for yourself and your healing. On the table, NOT EVEN ONE NEEDLE HURTS AT ALL!!! In fact, each needle brings immediate relaxation and release of pressure. Also, amazing aromatherapy while you are relaxing for an HOUR. And one of the best things is when you "zonk out" like you are out of this world, but you really believe that you were not sleeping, you are just in another world of consciousness healing while literally out-of-this-world. It's a wonderful feeling. Then you emerge and the effects last! We are a local family who recently moved back to Maui. My family consists of my (almost) 94 year…read moreold father, my disabled husband, my special needs 13 year old child, and myself. Upon moving back to Maui I immediately contacted Caring Hands Maui, who agreed to provide services for my dad at 20 hours per week, and for the past 2 months they have been. The services were going great and we were really happy with the agency but very recently things took a drastic turn. My father is a very private man, who is very quiet but very sweet, however, the transition moving back to Maui has been very hard on him at times, and lately personal things have been troubling him. This past week he had been missing his home on Oahu so he was refusing help from the owner of the company, Janet, who was caring for my dad (because of a shortage in company caregivers.) For whatever reason Janet got really annoyed with my dad (did I mention HE'S 94!?), and indirectly told me that they no longer want to provide services. Now mind you...my father didn't say a darn thing to her except that he insisted on doing things by himself, and because of that she said she feels like she's not wanted here. THEN she started accusing me of expecting them to do my laundry and dishes for them when ALL ALONG I repeatedly told them that I don't expect them to do any chores in my home except for what was needed for my dad, but the caregivers continually asked me to give them things to do because they were bored, and they would proceed to wash my laundry daily without me asking. In fact, just yesterday morning Janet walked into my home and offered to wash 3 brand new sheet sets that I just bought. I told her no, that wasn't necessary, and she offered again, and I still said thanks, but not necessary. A couple of hours later she made accusations of me making them do my laundry and dishes. ???? Anyhow, she left after only half her shift. I kindly asked her if they could continue services for the next 2 days (today and tomorrow) because my husband, with a chronic pain disease, had crucial doctor appointments that I needed to take him to on both days and she rudely responded she'd get back with me in the evening. Well...I never heard back from her so I text her this morning and the response that I got back from them was that their other caregiver, (who was scheduled to come here as usual) was in "training" today. They totally left me high and dry knowing that I am juggling my schedule by caring for my dad, taking my husband to various doctor appointments, and caring for my mentally disabled child. Such a disappointment. I learned that although Janet was very kind at times, she also has bad ethical business practices, and the fact that she would do that to us, without any given notice or even talking to us about her concerns prior to "up and leaving" us without any help has left me questioning how she does this for a living? I'm sorry, but not all elderly people are little sweet women who like to go the hair salon to get their hair done. Some just like to be left alone. Today I managed to take my disabled husband to his doctor appointment, while bringing my 94 year old dad and special needs son along with us. It was a struggle and a challenge but we managed to get through it. Thank you Lord! We will try again tomorrow, as my husband has one more very critical doctor appointment to attend. As a woman of Christian faith I have forgiven them, but I feel I would be doing a disservice to other families if I didn't share my experience so that they can make the best educated choice in Home Health Care for their loved ones.
