I made Gary's acquaintance many years ago through friends and family. Given the complexity of my taxes and numerous economic crises that hit my businesses, the time had come to engage Gary professionally. My tenure with Gary spans at least 2 of the last 3 economic crises that hit us all. The IRS was not being cooperative and if anything was hell-bent on pursuing punitive actions against someone who had volunteered to go to their offices to seek help. When an executive with a global footprint comes across this situation coupled with a bureaucracy that channels you to switchboards that disconnect you automatically, one needs to pull out the big guns. For those individuals that do not know what an Enrolled Agent is should do their research. The stringent certification requirements and requisite experience should give anyone stuck in an IRS gyre solace. That is for EA in general. Take the basic blueprint for an EA and add Gary Forman and you have a true advocate that will not only set you straight but will also deal with the most complex tax scenarios with utmost diligence. Gary is most certainly timely but that is not the main variable of importance for me. Gary's intellect, experience and legal knowledge trump the simple need for speed. At the end of the day, anyone cane cram numbers into software and audit it. The key lies with the consultative acumen that Gary exhibits. Not there to merely glean fees, Gary is direct and efficient. Gary Forman has been preparing my income taxes for approximately 6 years. I am very pleased with the quality of his work and plan to continue retaining his services for years to come. One of the reasons I selected Gary was that in addition to his formal tax training and experience he also has a law degree. To me this means that he has a greater understanding of our complicated tax code and the cases that it has spawned. This additional training in a related field gives me a good deal of confidence in his interpretation of tax laws and the opinions he arrives at. Additionally I like that fact that he has a network of colleagues he consults with on a wide variety of complex issues. One of the things I like is that Gary has always completed my taxes during the hour or two that I sit and meet with him. Before I leave his office I know exactly how much I owe or how much I will be refunded. This is a pretty impressive given the fact that he has to deal with rental property, an owner occupied home, mortgage payments received from a loan I made for the purchase of a house that is located out of state, and stock. Gary Forman is trustworthy and honest - always gets our taxes done on time. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all the tax rules and regulations. If you are eligible for a tax deduction, Gary will find it for you. If the IRS sends you a letter, Gary is the one you want on your side. Let him take care of it for you. I started using Gary about 10 years ago when I moved to Chino Hills, mostly because his location was convenient for me. What a lucky break! He has guided me through a myriad of financial ups and downs and has gone WAY beyond the services of an average tax prep service.
