Beware. We turned…read moreto Aysa Morhead to represent us when we needed to rent our our home for the first time. She was slow at getting material on the web, quickly suggested we lower or price (which we did on her advise), then noticed the lower price was not on the website weeks later. Eventually she presented us with a potential renter that she said was "young but really nice". She represented that she had been in conversation with this woman by saying and texting things to us like "Maria says" "she's lovely". She passed on documents sent by the renter which were really impressive. The renter was Maria Lopez, high profile gamer who has millions in assets and was looking to return home from where she was living in Toronto. She chose our home because it was relatively close to where she grew up. What was really happening was Aysa Morhead was texting an unknown person who was claiming to be Maria Lopez. We were on tour when the house was rented. When the renter didn't show to meet Aysa at the assigned time she happily left the keys on the kitchen table for "Maria". The man who actually showed up at our home and picked up the keys and moved in and established residence before returned Edgaro, a convicted felon who had spent 3 years in jail for drug trafficking and 7 years in jail for money laundering, and was not on the lease and definitely not Maria Lopez. Aysa didn't know this because she never circled back to see if the keys had been picked up or to meet the new renter in person, not even once. When we returned from tour our neighbors immediately come over and asked us what was happening at our house. They had seen shady characters backing trunk to trunk and exchanging packages daily at 6 in the morning. Of course they immediately stopped paying rent. It got worse from there. Outcomes for this exchange include loosing 9,750 in rent, legal costs, and damages. We spoke to Village Green management directly. They told us (in unprofessionally loud tomes) that it was ultimately our decision and they held no responsibility. They actually offered us no help whatsoever. They did however cling tight to their already paid out commission. They also refused to contact their professional insurance coverage. (As they had misrepresented their contact with the renter and things went really badly from there one would think they would consider leveraging their resources.) I spoke with our attorney about how badly this group had managed the whole interaction and he said we might be able to recoup some losses from this group and that it would cost more than it was worth to pursue. We decided to give up and figure it as a learning experience. Months down the road I am just now finding the bandwidth to issue this warning to anyone who might be considering working with this group. Reconsider.
