I was here for the Magpie Cafe out back, having breakfast on a Sunday morning. It has a nice country feel, with a husband and wife team running the place. There are only 4 or 5 tables inside, with a handful more outside if the weather's warm enough. Inside is country-quaint, with a mix of table and chairs; outside overlooks a reedy pond with birds and trees.
The food was alright. Mushrooms on toast for the missus were decent, but my corn fritters were a bit thin and uninspiring. Stick to the simple choices and the coffee and you'll do alright. read more
