I picked him up on September 5, put him in airline kennel for our late flight back home to Alberta. The next day I found three large bites on my dog. One on the centre of his back (2 x 2 inches). Two weeks later there is still a large scab on it. There are also two other large bites on his right side and leg. He is still recovering from these injuries and lowering his back slowly to his dog bed at home. Neither the incident or these injuries to my dog were mentioned to me when I came to pick him up. Due to his advanced age, I had specifically asked for him to be left alone and not socialized with other dogs when I dropped him off. I also reinforced this when I returned him to the kennel after walking him in the mornings. I have used a variety of kennel services for my pets before in several other locations- and have never returned to find my pets injured. The lack of communication is of great concern to me. At the very least a responsible facility and their staff would have addressed these issues with the pet owner. I could not trust this facility with any of my pets in the future. Unfortunately I read these other reviews after my dog's experience. If there was a method of posting pictures on this site, I would include photos of his injuries.

When we returned to pick him up we were told that he had peed on his bed and they had washed it and it was not dry yet so I could pick it up the next day. Sort of caught me by surprise as this is a 3 year old dog and has perfect house manners. So after sleeping on it I went back after 4 pm the next day. The girl there went to retrieve his bed and said that it was so bad that she had to wash it again. She brought out the bed soaking wet like it had been out in the rain all day. So when I questioned her on the fact of what really happened, she developed a huge defensive attitude and told me that dogs act differently when left in kennels.I agreed that could happen but our dog was rescued 6 week previous and had spent the last 8 months in kennel care. I said that if it was really him that peed on this blanket maybe he had been left in his kennel all day and also that his last baggie of food was still there so they had not fed him on his last full day there. We she just went ballistic saying that she was not the only one working there. I would strongly urge anyone that cares about their pet that they would avoid this Kennel as their seems to be a lack of care and consideration for their customers and the animals.

After a thorough search and conversations with various breeders, I stumbled upon SlowBlink. Mia, the owner, stood out with her extensive knowledge of cat health and nutrition. She was incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to address my concerns about purchasing a kitten without breeding rights. She offered me several options, and we found one that suited me perfectly. As a new cat owner, I valued Mia's ability to accurately assess the kitten's condition based on my brief description. SlowBlink's expertise and the inclusion of first-month insurance provided me with a strong support system in the initial stages of bringing home my kitten. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to confidently reserve a beautiful kitten. I wholeheartedly recommend SlowBlink to anyone searching for a trustworthy and caring place to find their new feline companion. --T and D's mum.
