I called because my garbage in the dumpster wasn't picked up on my scheduled day and they said that they spoke to the driver and he said he did come on my scheduled day and gave me a time he said he came at and offered me an "extra pick up"...after reviewing my video I realized they never did come like they said. They did send someone out but I have yet to see if they try charging me for an "Extra pick up". The lady was rude that I spoke to on the phone and before I could verify with her that they weren't charging me as they never came on my scheduled day like their driver said she hung up the phone on me so I guess we will see.I will be posting another review if they do bill me extra. After several years of using this service , we received a letter in the mail today . It stated that service was being discontinued immediately. Reason stated was that there was no money in servicing rural lake communities. No mention of what we should do about the garbage waiting for Monday pickup. PLUS. We are paid through September 2017. Sound illegal to me! Buyer beware. Never know how this provider will act. read more

Horrible customer service! Garrison Disposals web site announces that their customers are family. Well I do not want to be a member. I had my driveway redone and $3,0000 and one day later,, the driver turned around in it and disturbed it leaving ruts. I have routinely told GD they cannot turn around there) Called David MacArthur, manager to address the situation and he was rude, unapologetic, had the audacity to imply it was our fault. No apologies. He suggested I bring my trash can down the road 6 houses every week, hauling them back and forth. I thought I paid them to haul? I have always tried to purchase local but will not be treated as a second class citizen, I work in a customer service. A simple apology would have gone a long way, but I guess that is not in Garrison Disposals vocabulary when dealing with "family". I have heard of their reputation in the past but now I was the recipient. read more

I had been with Garrison Disposal for many years and they were wonderful in the office and on the route. I used their tag program and in October 2017 I heard they were discontinuing the tag program and shutting down some of their routes. So I called them and cancelled my services with them on October 26th. I had paid through the month of December and felt I should have a refund coming. I called them on Dec. 6th, Jan. 24th and today, Feb. 7, 2018. I was referred to their manager, David, and he conveniently wasn't at his desk and it went to an answering machine. It isn't that much money but when you prepay in advance for services rendered, a refund should be sent out. I have a friend where they quit his route service in November and he hasn't received his refund either. At this point I'm not very happy with them. read more

Hidden and deceptive charges: When you make a decision to do business with a company, all you have is what they communicate... We ordered a roll off, and chose GDC because their web site states that they take appliances and mattresses as part of their mixed load package. Because the cost of a mixed load is more than a construction load, logic would dictate the cost of the other acceptable items would be included in that cost. Further, we specifically asked three employees about appliances and mattresses in the mixed load during the course of ordering and setting up delivery, and each said it was acceptable; no one mentioned an additional cost - even the driver stated that appliances and mattresses were acceptable as part of the package, did not mention additional charges. I received an invoice with additional charges for each mattresses and each appliance. Surprised, I called and talked with Dave, who only said it was a teaching moment. Yep, I learned about deception, dishonesty, fraud and not owning up to professional incompetence in the business place. I have a screen shot of the site, and nowhere on the site does it state they will add additional charges for these items. Curious, there were no additional charges for my load that included other items listed along with the appliances and mattresses on their site. read more

I had a run in with a garbage pick up lady this morning. We have a shared driveway with our neighbor the garbage pick-up truck was in the street about 15 yards from where she normally picks up unable to pull in her truck. My wife had left our van not pulled into the drive way enough. I started to say sorry as she was walking back from to the truck. She got all rude and snarks at me "they pay a walk up fee for that." First I don't know what that met and that was snarky as heck. So I ask her "what does that mean walk up fee" she Continues her tone "your neighbors pay a fee for me to walk and pick up their garbage if it is not where it is suppose to be." Lady was a b word as so was Trying to apologize. At least now I know I need to apologize to my neighbor as well. read more

We were quoted a price for a mixed load dumpster and we specifically asked about certain items being included in the load. They assured us that the mixed load included these things, but then they billed us for the very items we asked about. read more
