I thought the first room was it then I continued to two more large rooms. She went out if her way to show me the most adorable bath and body care items she ordered for the Christmas holiday. As of 9/19/2023 she was building a new shelving unit and unboxing items like bath bombs and lotions - perfect affordable stocking stuffers. I picked up a few items for my daughters' nana's birthday. She is going to love the earrings, lip gloss in the shape of a wine bottle, & the adorable little knick knack we got her. All for just a little over $32. Plus she gift wrapped it for me! TIPS + Brighton jewelry is sold here! + Debit & credit cards are accepted.

Horsefeathers is a boutique on the east side of Hobbs, NM…read more It's been around forever and I'm glad to see it doing so well. When I was a teenager I remember not really appreciating all the "old lady" accessories and other items. Lol. This place now seems larger, easier to manuever in, and with many more options for gifts for loved ones than ever before. There was everything from some women's clothing, jewelry, slippers, sunglasses, and bags to kitchenware, some gourmet food items, bath bombs, other body care items, cards for every occassion, and books. Many wedding registries are created here because they also have quite an array of home decor. Not to mention several Christian faith-based items like crosses, jewelry, books, and other decor. There is a small men's section and also a baby section. I learned of a new tool for little ones while I was here back on August 5, 2023 - it's called toniebox. From the tonies website, this device is best described as "imagination-building, screen-free digital listening experience that plays stories, songs, and more." It seems like an excellent way for parents who don't want to give their children a tablet or other device to engage in listening and other important life skills. Horsefeathers was selling the starter boxes and Tonies characters for 50% off. There are many affordable gifts here plus... they offer free gift wrapping! The staff members are friendly and willing to help you - just ask if they're busy. The worst thing is their parking. There is very limited parking, but it is typically only crowded during major holidays.

I have been searching for a few things for my new house…read more My mom asked me, "Have you been to Nam's [Antiques & Collectibles] behind Big Lots?" It donned on me finally where this place was. Getting here is like driving through a life-size version of Ninetendo's Excitebike: the parking lots are filled with huge potholes, speed bumps, and unmarked spots. (Did I just show my age with that analogy?) There is free parking. Once inside, they don't allow large bags due to shoplifting. Some spaces are so tight that I would have hated having an oversized purse. Their vendors have mostly recognizable boundaries, so in the case that an item is (unusually) unmarked you'll be able to ask for the price without too long of a wait. There were quite a few pieces I would consider if I was move-in ready. There were tons of books I'll most likely be purchasing in a few months. Plus some nice jewelry & home decor antiques. Great finds at Nam's with friendly, assistive staff members.

Vintage Soul Mini Mall is an adorable boutique with new and vintage gift items…read more My oldest daughter and I popped in on their soft opening on 5.1.2025. I was so excited to learn that the owner of the previous business still owns this building and has really cool stuff still. These are vintage items, not antiques. I'm vintage. Or so I like to tell my kids since I was "borns in the 1900s." Bruh. *face palm* They had cookies & lemonade for us to enjoy while we perused the multiple small rooms of items. She has some women's clothing, jewelry, tumblers, and so much more. Adorable shop! Very affordable prices! Support local businesses. If the parking is filled up front, there are more spaces around the back. PS - thanks for giving my daughter stickers to put on Mr. Man. Lol. (A mannequin with a flowerpot for its head that was greeting everybody as they drove by.)

I shamefully admit I have been here since they renovated last year (2024). It's bigger, better, and addictively charming. My daughters chose a freshie (car air freshener) for their dad. He's going to love it. Their selections of freshies is vast. Almost overwhelming, but you're welcome to open the zip-locked bags and smell the various scents. We picked up some Valentine goodies also. The young lady working solo at the register on 1.20.2025 was very professional and welcoming. TIP They offered 20% off everything that day - something I wouldn't know if I didn't "follow" them on Facebook. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Miller-Waldrop Furniture is a fairly large store in Hobbs, NM…read more There was ample parking in a shared lot called the Norte Vista Plaza. I used to love coming here as a little girl with my mom because she knew I would never touch anything breakable. Lol. They still have a lovely store all decorated for Christmas as of November 16, 2024. We were immediately greeted by Celina. What an interesting spelling of her name, right? She assisted me with questions about a twin-size bed for my daughter. She gave me her card and took my information as well. Since we are in the month of November, I'm grateful for Miller-Waldrop for a few reasons: 1) My brother bought me a bed from here when I first moved back to New Mexico. It is still so comfortable. I know it was high end, but it was so worth it. 2) The salespeople are not pushy, but they will check in on you from time to time. 3) They offer unique pieces like this coffee table that I love, love, love... it's like a tree stump... not symmetrical. Looking forward to future purchases here. Visit their website: https://www.millerwaldrop.com/

The owner is a very nice lady. Her house is connected to this shop which is across from the plaza where Big Lots exists. Because she had a scary incident fairly recently involving an intruder, she keeps the front door locked. Just call the number on the door (because we know everyone has mobiles) and she will unlock the door for you. Most items are reasonably priced. Cash or plastic is accepted.

I was right. There are many really great Christian gifts and very few secular items. I bought a leather-bound writing journal and a bookmark for one of my daughters. My total was $16.53. The owner was a very sweet and funny woman. The Last Supper puzzle hanging in a frame is not for sale. They no longer sell those puzzles. Please start selling those once again!
